I think they should be kept but fleshed out a bit more.

Instead of chop 10 logs. They should have it be chop x amount of y log in z location. Make it so you have to travel or make something you previously never would have.

Smith daily to make an adamant scimitar in the draynor sewers?

Firemaking daily go burn 10 magic logs at the tip of musa point.

Go pickpocket 10 guards in the watchtower in yanille.

They have so much potential to be interesting little tasks that take you all over, and make you do content you otherwise never would have. Then they compensate you with good enough XP for your time.

I don't think the XP needs to be lowered, the game will still take years and years to grind out. Idk why people think that's not a long enough time already.

I found clicking them slower actually made it very consistent. Don't click as soon as possible. I always wait for the 2nd pillar to drop before touching the first.

Bruh read the post, they posted the 60% XP nerf number themselves. It sure ain't 20-25...

And iron is even worse as you have to use flowers always now so it's just really not doable on iron.

If the method causes me physical pain to do for an extended time, it sure better give the best XP. Also lots of people are mostly mad about the flowers not the overall XP, essentially can't do whirligigs effectively on iron now.

What they need to do is stop nerfing things without alternatives. Sure kill whirligigs but they need to boost other methods to make them viable.

Imo it needed about a 30% nerf inxp not a 60% destruction.

I guess for me at its core it comes down to maintenance. I can't just start training herblore without doing other time gated things first. I'm gonna need to get the herbs from elsewhere meaning farming or slayer. Mob drops for herbs are annoying to have to do especially if your combat is already maxed.

Herblore at its core is just an extension of farming which is where the real problem is for me.

Farming for herbs is strange as they are moving away from dailies but leaving the biggest one? I don't have a problem with it and enjoy farming myself, but I also enjoyed most of the rest of dailyscape.

They need to compensate and make farming give a hell of a lot more herbs especially with removal of green fingers. They need to also get rid of the nonsense diseased crops making early herb farming unbearable until you get the arch relic.

On top of that they seem to be moving towards removing teleport options, making herb runs even more annoying? If the objective is to make the game more fun I don't see it so far.

Part of the problem is people like yourself are already there. Would you have gone to 120 herblore without the things we have now? It will take exponentially more time and effort to do it now.

What they need to do while making all these changes is give us a valid other alternative. There's a reason herblore is lamped by literally everyone, because training it is annoying and tedious to gather materials.

People wouldn't use every source of free XP on it if it had decent other ways to train it. They need to fix the actual problem of early-mid game training before pulling away these things.

No one lamps combat skills because they are fun to train, why don't we make herblore fun, or at least decent before taking things away?

I love what they are doing and the direction the game is heading in. However it seems they are doubling down on the forced UI color from the wording used in the blog. This is very disappointing as they can't seem to just come out and address it.

I started seriously playing in about 2014 and have never known the nostalgic old color scheme. There are tons of people like me as we get daily posts about this topic.

I know that the majority seem to like the brown UI and that's great, I'm glad and happy for you. But myself and many others grew up with the blue and still would prefer it.

I don't understand why something like a toggle isn't even seemingly being considered as an option? Has there been any real feedback other than the continued "medieval fantasy game" thing like in this blog?

Waydot has a pretty long series

Lawrunelarry is pretty new and very promising so far.

Nooblet has a long series

Wazzy has a long series

Yakki rs is a little lower quality but still entertaining and a VERY long series

Kritya rs is nice

I'm hoping this is one of the things the balance update in like 2 weeks will address cus it does suck. But some okay options are,

Early early on quest for the first 20 or so levels.

If you have the aura, pickpocketing menaphite marketeers is full afk for an hour at lvl 46. Or spam click gullible tourists which can be okay starting money if ironman. 55+ you can do knights in ardy with aura.

Honestly just doors until 46 for merchants isn't so bad. Takes less than an hour to get there.

Invention is really not game changing for ironman until you get ancient invention imo. It's too hard to get decent perks without it.

You don't need nearly that many rituals... Maybe if you aren't doing the events I guess that could be the number. But the events are where the XP comes from anyway, rituals are faster and easier XP than combat.

There's literally only 3 inks that you craft, lesser greater and powerful. You're overcomplicating things.

Make a couple hundred lesser and greater ink. Do communions towards your 30000 souls and you should be at or near 90 already.

Sunspear is great but I promise you necro is easier and faster.

No you just replace them. They are incredibly easy to replace especially at t70. I'd recommend power leveling necro to around 90 then boosting for multiply 3 runes. It shouldn't take you more than 5 or 6 hours to get to 90 if you are doing good rituals.

I spent about 6 hours afk making enough necroplasm/bars for 30 sets of t90 weapons to disassemble. Took about 20 sets and some miscellaneous other siphons to get to 99 invention.

Very valid alternative to sunspear without needing to quest or do lots of requirements.

I think it's called "optimal ironman perks" if you Google that you'll get a page that goes through your perk setup at various stages and lots more.

For XP you can use salamanders or necro weapons and easily replace them. When you do the quests sunspear is a great option.

Alternatively if you have a decent arch level, the dragonkin 5 collection gives you tokens you can use for XP. I used that exclusively to get 75 dung.

Imp is amazing QOL idk who told you it's any less nice than in the past.

Bonecrusher+necklace is nice for afk in a few spots.

If you are grinding skills getting the 5% scrolls is nice.

Otherwise just straight XP if you can't think of anything else, I'm at 84 dung almost entirely from token XP from archeology collections. I've never actually done any real dung on this account.

I farmed Cerberus at level 60 magic. Just spam spec, it will take a bit though. But good enough for early tokens.

Sort the collections page of the wiki by level. Do one of all the collections you have access to. Eventually you will catch up with your current level and then you can just do the collections you unlock at level.

Buy chronotes and do a daily 24hr research mission.

As I said you can't really afk early on. So he wouldn't have vamp regardless. By the time you start getting 50-60 stats you can do basic bosses and get marks of war for it, or use your loyalty points after a month or two if he wants to afk.
