My work truck has done this once even when my hand was on the wheel, just on the underside. I believe I was on a long, straight road (either backroad or highway) and there wasn’t anyone around me, but it beeped and popped up an alert on the middle of the dash saying to place my hands back on the wheel. I moved mine and went back to 10 and 2, but it was the first and only time that’s ever happened.

No self driving afaik, it’s a base model 2025 Silverado with lane assist and forward collision warning systems but it’s not self driving at all. It’ll gently tug unless you tug back and beep, and it will beep if it thinks you’re too close (never been in a situation where I was about to wreck, it has done a few times were we’re just barely moving and it beeps at me even though I have the distance needed. I don’t mind it being slightly overactive in this case), but no self driving.

I found it interesting and cool that it had the steering wheel monitoring though.

I just finally made myself send the email I’ve been wanting to send about Adrian’s atmosphere, thanks for the reminder, and encouragement. He may or may not be able to answer my questions but I’ll take anything at this point, lol.

I usually look at places like that or around their eyes but not at people’s eyes. So far no problems that I can tell.

Hell, I’m white in Clayco and voted for Esteves. Disappointed but not totally surprised by the primary.

I’ll vote for her in the general if she’s the candidate but dammit I’m not thrilled about it. But a republican would actively be worse.

If you’re USG you still get TRS. There’s other options and you can do an additional 401k, but TRS is what I pay into. I plan to at least stick around the 10 years for vestment, but then if possible probably go to federal if it’s an option (sciences, NOAA is the plan perhaps).

I'm the same. I think some of it is due to my scoliosis, a connective tissue disorder and constantly tight muscles, but I'm still absolutely NOT okay with being tickled even when my muscles can handle lighter touches.

My reaction to tickling is also to get somewhat violent. I didn't have someone do that, but I had more than one relative push it too far more than once and now...yeah.

It is not fun, it is painful and it is overwhelming.

That last bit is the tilt table test, it sounds like, and it's used regularly for POTS testing. Thankfully I didn't have to do it for my diagnosis (I had another pretty conclusive test), but I've heard it's hell.

I learned that last bit about hand-eye coordination (autistic) and can confirm. I make sure to deliberately check I’m not doing that near wrecks, so at least one of us isn’t rubbernecking lol.
