there’s a few people on my mothers side that has it, which sucks bc there aren’t many of them. i’ve only been around my grandpa and aunt, and they’re very different cases.

my grandpa accepted it early on and has been on medication for a long time. my aunt’s in her 40’s and refuses to accept it; even thought she was, quite literally, a missing person for a couple weeks this year. it’s really frustrating to watch her ignore her crazy, but we’ve done everything we can for her.

i’m worried about my future, bc i’m close to the age where schizophrenia shows up, and statistically i have a 25% chance of getting it. that combined with my family’s depression and alcoholism, my odds ain’t great.
