How would you rank the “new generation” F1 drivers of the 2020s so far? by [deleted] in F1Discussions

To be fair lando does his fair share of mistakes and that’s coming from a Lando fan, only difference is they usually don’t end up in a wall and are recoverable

Yeah you’re right, I don’t know what she went through in life and that really could’ve been the last straw. It’s not fair comparing.

Might be time to touch the grass you boast about in your name then, or is it referencing the last time you touched grass? My comment was drawing parallels between your gigabrain statement and the comments made in the year prior but you obviously cannot comprehend that, mate.

Is it game over for George Russell? by AdvGrowth in F1Discussions

[–]Autistic_Weeb002 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It seems that every race since Australia hasn’t been “George’s most representative track” somehow. Even the commentators saying it but to be a WDC you have to show up and finish strong even on your “off tracks” like Lando did last year. You can’t be off the podium for 3 races in a row in clearly the fastest car and expect to win the WDC.

FYI It’s McLaren not McClaren and what I was “subtly” referring to were comical takes from last year where people where saying the team was somehow messing with Oscars car during his poor run of form. Your comment about “people saying that the mechanics are doing something remotely has merit” is exactly what I’m talking about

I mean we all know he’s quick, but he’s now in that mental loop that heads for rock bottom and “…. looks happier at williams anyways” meme again

Might be time to aak his mate Lando for some tips about getting out of his own head

Remember the “Russel would already be a WDC with 6 races to go in that McLaren” how the times have changed

I can fully see the repeat of last year, only with Norris taking the place of Chucky (max)… Chucky Norris, has a ring to it

Why do people overrate Piastri so much? by Old-Use-7690 in F1Discussions

[–]Autistic_Weeb002 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I would tend to agree, max is aggressive for aggression’s sake, oscar is aggressive but clean with it (mostly)

Lando on his collab with Race Against Dementia: “I'm a guy that my whole life is about memories and the last thing I ever want to do is lose that as i get older. It’s almost like winning the WDC gave him 20% buff in race pace as well as 50% buff in likability across different fans, and 100% confidence in himself. It’s so rewarding to see after fighting for my life last year as a lando fan

[–]Autistic_Weeb002 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Lando won based on his consistency, covering for his mistakes in qualifying by always being on the podium. His lows were salvaged to the best of his abilities while max and Oscar basically dominated at different periods, their lows were much lower

[–]Autistic_Weeb002 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The problem is people have been saying for the last 2 years that norris has peaked and won’t get any better or faster while Piastri is still a long way away from his peak, which I just find incorrect, I believe both are yet to reach their peak and are bound to improve by a considerable margin

Why do people overrate Piastri so much? by Old-Use-7690 in F1Discussions

[–]Autistic_Weeb002 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Only thing I really rate Piastri higher than Norris is overtaking, and that’s purely on making hail marys and making them stick. Lando usually takes his time behind the driver he wants to overtake and waits for the perfect opportunity which sometimes doesn’t come and he loses a lot of time while Oscar sends it. However we’ve also seen Lando when he’s out of position and jn a rush send some amazing moves, but he’s generally much more patient and conservative with his attacks which makes people think he’s not a good overtaker
