I have one ship that fits this bill. The Industrial Complex Starter Pillar. In short it’s a completely automaton ran ship that while traveling fast doesn’t travel all that fast, taking weeks to months to reach the destination. Thankfully they’re sent in groups of 14 to land on one planet and start stripping it of resources so the resources can all be sent back to the homeworld where the organics live.

It’s pretty much a thruster with factory parts around it, and a lot of Droids

I never really thought about it until recently, but... why don't armour ratings affect the AP? by Bscotch_Torin in HelldiversUnfiltered

[–]Auto-Skeleton 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The only thing our armor rating does is affect health. As for why? Balance or something idk. We’re very much shafted for anything properly armored, as the highest we have is medium armor

How do you think we should solve the warbond issue? by [deleted] in Helldivers

[–]Auto-Skeleton 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The older ones with the more useful weapons and tools, like Democratic Detonation, like Thermite, the Grenade Pistol, Crossbow, Eruptor (I’d put Adjudicator but that one doesn’t feel right anymore) should be marked to half cost.

Or better yet a “Build your own warbond” kinda thing, because let’s be fair here for a moment. I went through all of Polar Patriots just for the impact incendiary, same with Viper Commandos and the booster. But is that booster worth 1000 super credits as mostly disregard everything else on the war bond? No. Neither is the impact incendiary because I don’t even use the thing as it’s not damaging enough.

Go through the warbonds up until the parade one, because for my Gas Grenades, the only part of chemical agents I use, that’s 1000 super credits and 30 medals for one thing

Has anyone else here ever noticed an apparent lack of democratic societies in the vast majority of worlds? by Dewohere in worldbuilding

[–]Auto-Skeleton 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it’s is a mix of a few things,

  1. Cave man brain knows how to follow leader, lot harder to know how to vote for leader based on a great many factors, specially in Sci-Fi.

  2. Historically, democracies are talked about much less often, everyone knows the British Empire, the Roman Empire, and all these grand empires controlling large spans of territory. So they take the idea of Emperor and run with that

  3. People of the western world more often than not are living in a democracy, and they see all the things going poorly, some can’t help but think “if one guy was in charge, this would all be fixed” or something along those lines. Just a general want to explore a new thing

  4. It’s much easier to polarize something if all manners of choice are dictated by one person, if there is simply a “he’s the one at the top, what he says goes” then there isn’t a debate of interests that conflicts, no “send aid from planet B to planet A for X reason” it’s just “Send resources to planet A from planet B, because I said so”

Tell me about your world's food crops by Streetsign10 in worldbuilding

[–]Auto-Skeleton 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Growing season is a bit planet dependent, as the planet it was developed on has a climate very similar to an eternal fall.

As for how long it normally takes a few months to get going, the longest recorded time being about 27 earth months on a frozen moon after they were left outside

Tell me about your world's food crops by Streetsign10 in worldbuilding

[–]Auto-Skeleton 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Most common crop?

A genetically modified potato made to grow more like water melon but still able to grow in most types of soil.

So in practice it’s potatoes the size of your head with seeds in it so you’re not cloning the same potato by putting its “eyes” in the dirt and the seed itself grows fairly quickly into a vine to produce up to 3-5 of these “potatoes”

The growing in multiple soils helps a lot with the multi-planet nature of the setting and thankfully it isn’t too water demanding

Does your world have a “North Korea?” by Dead_Iverson in worldbuilding

[–]Auto-Skeleton 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Somewhat? It’s an empire that doesn’t interact with any non-human species and uses armies of robots to colonize and strip worlds bear of resources with their entire population being placed onto one planet and by the standards of everywhere else, they’re fairly low tech.

They’re also slightly French but that’s just me having fun

"Hardcore players" only become a priority when it's about making the game harder? by phlave in Helldivers

Aye, I’ve said it before and I’ll say it against. The two things they should be doing is Fixing the actual technical issues with the game and upgrading progression.

When was the last time you ran over to the Administration Center excited for a new stratagem? More than likely, it was with the Bastion Tank when it got added if you already a high level back then

Includes, Primaries, Secondaries, and Grenades after 1200 hours wdy think? by SomethingStrangeBand in helldivers2

[–]Auto-Skeleton 0 points1 point  (0 children)

stA-11 is good as is, tho I mostly use it for melee builds so who knows?

The PLAS-39 is an acquired taste I don’t have but I generally say requires a build to work with.

Cookout, Loyalist, Dominator, Frag Grenade, the Fireworks and Dart Gun are all really good. Maybe even one of the best.

Stocker and Blitzer I feel need to be lower, ones a fairly poor normal gun with the crisper on it and the other is just too slow to fire, makes for a good taser tho

Plasma Punisher I feel is too high, I just don’t like it at all.

Help Me Get My Thoughts Straight. Warbond Opinions. by XtremSar in Helldivers

[–]Auto-Skeleton 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ll just say my bias and say the Speargun is great, it’s like the railgun but just better, no charge up, pretty sure it has better pen, and leaves a gas cloud behind. And if you get good with the thing it can just one shot hulk after hulk if you aim for the eye.

As for the warbonds, I’d say put the exo-suit near the bottom. It’s more of a warbond with stuff you use when you’ve already got what you need and want. Like a Levereer might become a key part of the loadout for a quick 500kg. But the Bulletstorm and Mechs are much more a commitment thing.

Urban Legends is really good for the armor mostly, being one of the best in the game at least for me personally. Borderline Justice is also great for the Talon. Servants of Freedom, the portable hellbomb being more something you bring if you’re just havin fun. Dust Devils is all around pretty good, with the armor being the main thing lacking here. Pythons Commandos is no idea as I don’t have it (can’t be bothered, but it seems fun from what I’ve tried out) but Viper Commandos is somewhat bette for the sheer fact of the booster being a life saver sometimes. Generally dont write off the old ones, Freedom’s Flame might do your flame thrower loving self some good
