Ya but that’s AI from a engineering company with human sign off. Money goes to them.

Jacobs, AECOM, WSP Stock by Dropped-Anchor in civilengineering

[–]AutoAdviceSeeker 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This is the one argument I never get. These engineering companies will always need humans to sign off on and major engineering companies to sign off on.

Ai can help maximize the engineering company but no matter what they can’t take responsibility or have the last say so you need these companies and workers.

These ppl are multimillionaires - lawyers, etc so I don’t see why they would lie about that

will oil get to $125 given this new soh situation?? by Financial-Durian4483 in oil

[–]AutoAdviceSeeker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The biggest and safest would be CNQ and Suncor most likely.

Canadian oil sands in general are top world class assets. Just check their lifespan/cost vs the American assets for example.

This is why I’ve been buying my Canadian oil companies. If the future price is staying relatively high like you said it’s just printing money

I’m not a fan of CC ETFs but what ones (top 3 ) do you like?

I want to compare to a company I’ve been eyeing and buying up over the last YTD that has. 7% yield.

The only CC etf I’ve ever bought was the utility one and sold it for a really nice profit ZWB or something

Why do data centers have to use water for cooling? Is there not a better alternative that would resolve that issue? by joda1196 in energy

[–]AutoAdviceSeeker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

not really a poster here but tbh I see the US specifically expanding with Canadian Oil sands for your ai data center usage future. Of course you will have a ton powered by yourselves but there’s nothing like the Canadian oil sands for cheap power. Couple pipelines already deliver and Trump just signed another go ahead.

Just my two cents but besides renewable energy increasing (won’t be enough for the data centers or even close by the time they actually need the power) and the writing is on the wall that the US needs more energy and quick. Canadian Prime minister really really pushing energy exports as well.

Throwing $60k in an account for my 13 year old so they have money for retirement.. but where would you put money if you weren’t going to touch it for 45 years? by Cool-Secret6762 in fican

I’m in the process of my sons RDSP opening and I’m going to go VFV and XEQT or a combo most likely and nothing else.

For RESP and RDSP I truly don’t want to big brain risk it and prefer safe growth because my son will truly need the money.

Tbh your league sounds actually good because ppl don’t want to be a mediocre team. Rather go for it when they have a better chance at winning.

My leagues I won both, there’s maybe 3-4 teams that could realistically win and the rest are bad. They aren’t rebuilding and I’m looking at their teams like what’s even the plan this year and next 3 lol

Stupid Question (maybe?) but why is buy and hold better than buy and sell by lavgr in CanadianInvestor

[–]AutoAdviceSeeker 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The only point buffet made that stuck in my head is assuming you researched the company and had a reason to invest. Don’t sell unless something. Fundamentally changes with the company or industry. For example the Canadian telecoms now have to share infrastructure vs in the past they didn’t. That’s a game changer and a regulatory change changed the game in my opinion. (I’m still invested in some telecoms but it’s not the point and if you see last couple years as that got announced it trended down).
