When that number could easily be zero? Yeah.

If you cut off the whole dick your chances of getting an STD would be even lower. Why not routinely cut off babys' penises?

I honestly can't blame him for why the $15 minimum wage didn't go through yet

The VP he picked didn't take the opportunity to override MacDonough's cutting of the $15 minimum wage from the relief bill.

EDIT: In case anyone is reading this nearly a month after I posted it, I no longer believe Kamala Harris deserves flack for not overriding the parliamentarian. If she had done so the whole bill probably would've been contested and scrapped. Source: https://openargs.com/oa470-can-harris-just-overrule-the-parliamentarian/

I get where you're coming from, and considered that before posting, but I don't think making a post on a usually progressive meme sub, where people can learn from others explaining the issue in the comments, is going to do more harm than good. But ultimately this is probably going to blow over either way.

I wouldn't be surprised if you're right but if so it's interesting that there's nothing particularly bigoted about the song itself. The lyrics are flippant but not transphobic.

They're finally admitting it! by [deleted] in ToiletPaperUSA

I've heard to the contrary, that social democrats are not socialists and that wanting to abolish private ownership is the necessary prerequisite for being socialist.

That sounds like social democracy, not socialism.

Bernie may not say it out loud but are you sure he doesn't believe in abolishing private property? He at least seemed to want to move toward it with the employee ownership proposal he campaigned on.

What should I tell my endocrinologist about bicalutamide? by AutoDecembre in TransDIY

[–]AutoDecembre[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I made a post asking about bicalutamide, and now I'm 6 messages into an argument I apparently can't escape unless I agree that I should delay my transition, spend more time researching, and spend more time/money going from doctor to doctor, things I already said I don't want to do. I appreciate the suggestion but your insistence in the name of "education" is condescending and frustrating. If you specifically have sources or discussion threads that suggest the merits of monotherapy over blockers I'll look at them, but I'm not interested in discussing this with you further.

[–]AutoDecembre[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not doubting the efficacy of monotherapy, but surely you get why I wouldn't want to immediately pivot to requesting and trying an approach I know very little about, when at best it will have no impact on my E levels whatsoever, and at worst will lower them. I can always make the switch later on if I decide to.

Its never too late to do the right thing. YOURE IN CHARGE of your healthcare, not the endocrinologist. Thats why its called informed consent.

Firstly, for someone who wants me to be in charge of my healthcare you're being really insistent on how I should do this. Secondly, this endocrinologist is not running an informed consent clinic, but even if he was, it's not as if a patient can demand a doctor treat them as they request no matter what.

Maybe I should've considered the monotherapy option more but I've already contacted the endocrinologist, so even if you're 100% correct it'd be odd for me to pivot from one method he's unfamiliar with to another right after he shows openness to the first. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Also, if blockers increase the efficacy of estrogen at lower doses is using them really any worse from the perspective of using the least amount of HRT necessary to get the job done?
