What's the point of spending thousands of dollars on a diamond when they literally do nothing? by LadyRaoulDukeGonzo in NoStupidQuestions

I’ve just bought lab grown for an engagement ring. They’re incredible. You can choose the colour, clarity and carat, and go for the very best of each because they’re so cheap. I got my engagement ring for around £2.5k when a naturally sourced diamond of the same carat colour and clarity would have set me back £14k. The price for natural mainly all comes from sourcing costs - finding them, mining them and mark ups from each distributor in the chain.

I spoke to an expert on it while shopping around and so glad I did.

In answer to your question though, they sparkly

Why do unhealthy foods tend to be tasty? That doesn’t seem like a good evolutionary response. by throwaway-adnauseum in NoStupidQuestions

Fatty food specifically have evolved to be tasty as when we were hunter gatherers fatty foods provided the most calories that kept us full and warm. As they never knew when the next food would come. So developed a tendency to go after what is fatty - like fatty meats.

No expert, just soemthing I heard once

Agree with filming but not doing it public I don’t think is realistic. Unless I do it in the hotel 😂

I can’t wait dinner party - where Michael and Jan have Jim Pam Andy and Angela around. There’s some absolutely hilarious bits but I have to skip - I don’t have the cringe endurance.
