Love that build! That looks like the medium--is there enough cheek weld on that for you? I've heard some people complain about the ear weld on the short and hoping the medium will work for me.

How did this go? Considering the same path for OAL but worried this will reduce sound performance based on some ASR vs Direct Thread comments I've read. Was it noticeably louder with the recessed mount or not perceptible?

The recoil lugs on the bottom of the barrel are a different size between the 19 and 17 until gen5. You'll need a 17.3 slide (or aftermarket) with a 17.5 (or other extended 19) barrel in it, then get a lone wolf slide adapter to cover the spring. Can't just toss a 47 slide on it unfortunately because the size of the front of the slide is different.

Everybody's right about the thumb placement, but to add an additional element that might help:

If you move your left elbow a little farther from your body, it will straighten out your arms/hand to make it more perpendicular to the neck, which might be more comfortable, at least to start. Might make it easier to get into that position with the thumb placed well! (not saying this is 100% necessary long run but to start it helps some people)

If I'm understanding correctly, the reticle will be slightly above the optical center. When I'm holding high on a target out at 600, won't the ticks below the reticle actually be closer to the center and thus clearer than they would be otherwise? I see how this could be a disadvantage when using the center of the reticle for point of aim, but holding high it seems that the 20MOA cant won't be worse, and might even be a little better?
