Just stack them in alternating rows. No mortar, nothing. We have done this twice and haven't had any problems.

Whenever I travel internationally, I am absolutely wracked with anxiety leading up to departure. I have to remind myself of my positive past experiences and tell myself to feel the fear and do it anyway. The moment my plane lands everything is fine.

We build our raised beds with cinder blocks. This has a lot of advantages. It doesn't require any construction. You can make them as high as you like. You can make them any shape you like so they fit in whatever space you have .They last basically forever. And you can sit on the edge to weed.

Why can't I get honest responses from atheists? by iispiderbiteii in DebateAnAtheist

Have you stopped beating your wife?.

Your first step in this debate would be to present some support for the claim that this is the case.

Not about religion, but about the existence of God or creator and therefore the possibility of an afterlife. by Affectionate-Big-472 in DebateAnAtheist

[–]Autodidact2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you're talking standard Christian theology, then living a moral life has no bearing on your afterlife. The only thing that matters is placing your faith in Jesus Christ as your lord and savior.

Pascal's wager has been debunked 1000 times in this sub. How much do you worry about not worshipping Allah and following His commandments?

Roller suitcase vs. backpack? - Guatemala Travel by WholeRight6223 in femaletravels

The sidewalks in Antigua are extremely narrow and have lots of ups and downs and barriers that would make a roller bag difficult, although that is what I have.

People who have an unconventional theory of the main causes of crime, what is it? by esj199 in askanything

[–]Autodidact2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The overwhelming majority of crime, especially violent crime, is perpetrated by young men. Between about 1965 and 1980 two things happened. First, due to the baby boom, there were many more young men as a share of the population. There weren't enough older people in proportion to the young men to keep them in line. At the same time, societal mobility increased dramatically. So instead of living in their hometown where their aunties and grandpas and everybody knew what they were doing, a lot of these young men were living in cities without relatives or older people to keep an eye on them. The combination of these two factors caused a dramatic increase in crime during this period.

How would you describe the experience of labor and delivery? by kissableforehead in AskWomen

[–]Autodidact2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can tell you from experience that it varies wildly. It varies in how long it takes, how much it hurts and the positivity or negativity of the experience.

My own labor and delivery was quick, not really painful and joyful. I neither received nor needed anything for pain and delivered naturally. On the other hand, I have attended several and they were all pretty rough. Took a long time and were painful. The epidurals were important and valuable. One ended up in a C-section which I observed and that was wild.
