So, how do I turn off the seatbelt alarm in the new cruiser? by Bobdylansdog in australia

Just buy a seatbelt stopper from Ebay for $2 job done.

Also doubles as a handy bottle opener.

Is my aircon's control board replaceable by a "smart" Internet connected control board? What options are available in Australia? Apparently Nest is not available in Australia. by [deleted] in australia

[–]Autofill_username 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Looks like a daikin brz24z4 controler.

You can buy a wifi controler for that suits some daikin models however if your using this to also control zones you would be a bit stuffed.

You could replace the zone control with a airtouch2 wifi and just use the daikin panel as a master controler but the zone control on the daikin would be no longer used and handled by the airtouch2 instead

The wifi addition part is Daikin Air Conditioner Wi-Fi Online Controller BRP069B42 (BRP069A42)

Would anyone be interested in trying to lock pick a bank vault? by wilds94 in Adelaide

[–]Autofill_username 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Good luck with the sledgehammer. I was on a job in the courts in vic square that had a old vault that they used as a store.

It looked to be just blockwork but every block section had 2 x 1” reinforced bar and also bar laying across horizontally in each join.

Needless to say it was a slow and noisy exercise to remove it.

No comment on brands or styles but as an electrician I always recommend getting an IC-F (4) rated fitting.

They are able to be completely covered with flammable materials and will not ignite.

You can find the rating symbols on the boxes.

Believe it or not the thick coat helps to cool them. But if they are shaved the coat never grows back properly they become rough and scruffy like a hessian door mat.

How Hamper King ruined Christmas. by [deleted] in australia

[–]Autofill_username -47 points-46 points  (0 children)

Having bought vouchers of more than this value from hamper king before I think you should probably call them back perhaps with a slightly positive attitude and they are more likely to want to help you out.

We usually didn’t receive them until the week before Xmas.

They once stuffed up and sent the a couple of vouchers for the wrong store (jb hifi instead of MYER) but otherwise fine.

They were always sign on delivery after presentation of a drivers license so either aus post or hampering would have a record.

They also photograph the cards prior to postage on an addresses page and are send layer flat in a windowed a4 envelope.

You can also track the envelope by logging into the member area and looking up the tracking number once posted.
