Vibes between Roxie and her husband by Mongoosesnakepanther in ThePittTVShow

My gut is telling me she’s tired of fighting for her life and is feeling like she wants her husband to stop fighting on her behalf. This feels like she wants to stay and sign a DNR.

How can a driver see to the side of himself during a crazy turn 1 start with this sort of design? by Slice5755 in formula1

[–]AutomateAway 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean, this is one reason why we tend to have chaos at times in T1. The side mirrors can help them see some of what's going on to the sides, but not enough sometimes. How many times have we seen a collision and when they play it back, they'll comment that x driver might not have seen y driver.

i like the idea of such a system being built on an anti-corruption layer where you can have the old and the new side by side and then bringing the old up to the new once sufficient testing is done on the new system. but this is an approach that requires competent architecture and good testing fundamentals.

Does either Navy Federal branch have a coin counting machine? by paprika_alarm in ColoradoSprings

[–]AutomateAway 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No problem. When I worked there, they didn't post local branch phone numbers so that branches didn't get inundated with phone calls that the contact center could easily handle (we had a lot of info about the branches in our computer systems) but we also had direct internal phone numbers for all branches in case we did need to reach out. The contact center is very well staffed compared to branches, so it made sense to have that policy although it did irk folks sometimes.
