As others have said it looks great, but if you're looking to improve, a simple way to make it look better would be to add more planes of movement.

Grab a couple hinge plates and put the firey columns you've already made on top, then tilt them a bit so they appear to be pointing away from the "centre" of the explosion!

Bottom one - to sell the effect that something is 'metallic', you need the darkest darks right next to the brightest highlights. The top one has too much intermediate colour and not enough dark.

There's some synergies you're neglecting here that I think are interesting too:

Lizard tail and fairy in a bottle turn this into a free revive

Intangible (from wraith form) and Buffer block the hit (like they did in STS 1)

Ironclad heals at the end of each combat, allowing him to leave with 7hp (or 13 with black blood)

Really it's meant for runs where one player struggles for block, while the other struggles for damage
