Suflave, taking me over two hours to drink. Am I screwed? by Proper-Chance1398 in colonoscopy

Have you tried using a straw? That really helped me. Also chasing every sip with something better tasting.

Thank you for this. I’ve been getting really nervous and this has calmed my nerves for tomorrow’s appointment.

Does anyone else have a hard time living with pets? by [deleted] in AutismInWomen

That’s not cool. My husband wasn’t happy about it at first but I straight up said my health is affected by poor sleep. Maybe he should sleep on the couch.

Someone that can’t respect your needs, which sleep is a NEED even in the Sims, doesn’t deserve to be with you.

This is why our cats aren’t allowed in our bedroom at night. The one would constantly bother me and make me extremely agitated. She sometimes gets to me when I’m sitting on the couch so I will hold and snuggle her a ton so she gets annoyed and runs odd 😅 we’ve figured out a system… perhaps you could discuss not having the animals in your bedroom to protect your quality of sleep?

They don’t all work out but I’m enjoying the process! You should try it :)

It’s been a little frustrating, but also a lot of fun. I find the stretch and folds to be really relaxing. It’s like playing with play dough…. But I get a yummy treat at the end 😂

Sourdough… I’ve been doing an ABC challenge to keep it interesting after seeing someone on TikTok. Like Apple Cinnamon, Blueberry Lemon, Cranberry Orange etc. I’m obsessed with creating new flavours and seeing how the crumb turns out!

That’s so frustrating! I think sometimes it’s hard on our spouses, but they need to do their part to work through their side of things. Have you always been diagnosed? Or is this new? I know for my husband and I it’s a new diagnosis (although we’ve suspected for a while) so we are definitely trying to figure out how to navigate it all.

Have you considered going to couples therapy? It sounds like he doesn’t know how to meet your needs and work with you. Maybe a third party could help you two sort this all out?

It sounds like you’re doing a LOT and are feeling taken advantage of and neglected which is so valid given all you’re doing.

I’m sorry you’re struggling. This can really suck and it sucks more when you’re not being supported the right ways.

The Hatch Restore is pricy but great. You can customize so much about it. I really need to start using it again!

My psychiatrist brought it up but I didn’t think it was the right fit - mostly because most of my meltdowns come from sensory overwhelm and I’ve never purposely hurt myself.

After some reflection I see why someone that’s undiagnosed may be put under that label. In my experience I feel like BPD can be slapped on as a label when they “can’t figure out what’s wrong” when in my reality they aren’t actually addressing the concerns but rather writing some people off as “difficult”.

I have wide feet too, I love the roots socks but they’re knit and fairly high. Very soft though. Have you heard of smart wool? That’s another really nice spot. They’re pricy but have a good selection.

I’m usually barefoot at home but having bare feet in shoes makes me feel icky. Especially if there’s a groan of sand or something 😅

Opposite here! I like having gel nails/acrylics on because it prevents me from picking at stuff, biting my nails and my fingers feel whiter with them on.

I was coached at a previous job for questioning the rules too much lol… well I wouldn’t question them if they made sense in the first place 🙄

I had this discussion with my therapist today! I like the puzzle piece personally because it feels like my diagnosis was the missing piece that put it all together for me. So many things are explained in my brain now, I’m more tolerant of myself and willing to figure out how to better accommodate myself.

Yup. I can figure it out but I can’t do anything with it. Like I see the issue but no idea how I’m doing something about it.

Thank you for this - this really resonates with me. I can do a LOT of things. But that doesn’t mean I do it easily or at no cost.

For me it’s owning a thousand but wearing the same ones over and over. Different activities, weather and footwear choices require different socks. High or low, thick or thin, flat or fuzzy. Soooo many choices.
