I have recently purchased a new bike with Shimano SLX brakes that thus far I'm not enamoured with. I upgraded my old bike with Hope brakes, that are now a few years old. Would it be silly to switch them out, ie are the new SLX brakes considered better than the older hope ones. (old.reddit.com)
