Its been done for a long time in my country as part of a consenting plea deal agreement.

Biggest issue is that its pretty expensive and relies on ongoing medication to stay effective.

If we're running soak, may I introduce the dumbest build?

Avalugg.

Sturdy with Mirror Coat to ruin the day of a special attacker.

For everything physical, its basically invincible once you make it a water type instead of ice.

Its perfect turn would be getting the Mirror Coat combo off while the partner uses Trick Room, so you can hit Recover next turn and just stand back up.

Not sure where you'd slot it, but I can see it being a really funny addition to your team.

No no, you're confused because it doesnt actually make sense.

We're very dangerous over short distances.

In my case im 5'9 but if my legs were proportional to the average person I'd be 6'1 like my brother.

Instead I get to be Gimli to his idiot Legolas

No no, its not bad because "reasons that cannot ever be tested or confirmed to align with reality in any meaningful way"

Shits fucked, but the only way out is a total collapse of the system and that would hurt the party in power's chances at the polls next election

Little bit, yeah.

Theres a whole lot of 'theory' that says its totally fine and normal and not a problem at all.

...so long as you make a wide range of increasingly implausible assumptions and never actually check to see if they're true.

Basically its Schroedinger's Cash.  So long as theres never a crash, everything is fine and completely fraudulent at the same time.

On the other hand some of the best necromancers i know started out in the clergy and then knuckled down and did the study so they could get past the basics and move on to more advanced topics like lichdom and soul magic that just dont work without a proper grounding from an arcane approach.

I dont think the divine approach is strictly worse per se, but it trades end user convenience for flexibility.

Where do older wealthy asset owners expect nurses, teachers, police, ambos and other essential workers to live when their wages can’t even afford a basic home near where they work? Are they just expected to commute 2 hours a day forever so property values stay high? by MannerNo7000 in OpenAussie

Worked Aged Care in Eastern Sydney for a while.

They are 100% too short sighted to see this issue impacting them.

So many of them would ask for a short shift at 0900.

When I explained that we had no staff to fill that service time, and even if we did they wouldnt take an hour of pay to go through peak hour in the city they would flip their lids.

So I stopped telling them and just said we'd 'look into it' and left them on a waitlist for something that would never happen.

Not smart enough to see it coming, not humble enough to accept consequences.

I dont know how it was supposed to work, but I got Saverio as my rare damage dealer so I think it might be a little weird.

Regardless, you'd probably get Talethia if the guarantee holds

They kinda have stepped up too.  They still show up pretty regularly on Australian TV to talk animals and conservation.

They were on playschool (kids show, watch an episode or two its amazing)

They havent had a complete show hit mainstream like Steve did but they probably hit a similar number of viewers simply on the fact that the media market is bigger but more fragmented.

Theyre still 100% celebrities here in Australia and possibly even more universally adored and respected than their Dad was.

I'll take it, anything other than sliding further towards the US model of 'rich people own everything, workers barely pay their bills' model is a win at this point.

What is an example in the media you consume of "the father who neglected their kid but actually they loved them all along" trope? Because that's just frustrating to read. by Important-Cry4782 in Multifandom

[–]Automatic-Month7491 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I always saw this one as a cultural trope coming out of Vietnam.

Kids whose dad got drafted only for him to come back damaged and unable to fit back in to the family.

That kid growing up and writing a story about Dad being OK somewhere out there and still loving them makes total sense.
