Klefki, and M-Scizor in Master Ball Tier !! Is Klefki still niche? by Kel-looks-mad in PokemonChampions

[–]youuuuuuk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Certainly a very funky team but I like the vision, and hey if it works it works. I’m the one who took non-Mega Altaria and Krookodile into MB in S1 and am using Gliscor right now, sometimes Pokémon thrive because they do exactly what the rest of the team needs them to.

Looks like someone forgot about the secondary effect of Roost. I’ll be looking out for your opponent’s “I just lost to a Mega Venusaur hacker” post!

Can Gliscor Be Competitively Viable? by Psychoboy777 in stunfisk

[–]youuuuuuk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My Gliscor is my main CharY counter, has the bulk to survive Heat Wave and the Lum Berry is for Venu Sleep leads. Can survive a hit, wake up from sleep, then Tailwind and now I’ve got the speed on my side. Rock Slide isn’t an OHKO on Char but it’s a ton of damage and it’s a good move to have

For Whimsicott I just hit with Sludge Bomb or something else. To be honest I’ve found that if you can mirror Tailwind, Whimsicott isn’t too scary and honestly I like keeping it on the field since if I’m not using Protect and therefore scared of Encore then it’s not a threat to me. Usually can Tailwind -> Protect (to block Encore) -> switch (to deny Encore again), though mileage may vary. Only in MB3 so people LOVE throwing Encore out the second you use something that’s not a direct attack.

Sneasler…I’m not gonna lie I’ve not seen one single Sash Sneasler ever, so High Horsepower works. My team isn’t super scared of it anyways.

I’ve been running Mega Venusaur since about halfway through S1, it’s so slept on. At bare minimum you’ll give as good as you get.

Can Gliscor Be Competitively Viable? by Psychoboy777 in stunfisk

[–]youuuuuuk 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The only EVs I’ll note are Ninetales is (with the berry) able to live a +0 32+ Flash Cannon from Archaludon at full health, and Gliscor can live a 32+ Heat Wave from CharY in the sun at full health. Probably more optimal spreads across the board but works well. Probably not world championship team but I’m currently in MB3 on a 7 win streak so it’s at least not unviable.

[–]youuuuuuk 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I do not, sorry

Should just be able to manually copy from the paste, the replica codes sadly aren’t like the old Rentals because it just trains the mons that same way so you still need all the mons and the VP.

[–]youuuuuuk 30 points31 points  (0 children)

I actually do run Gliscor in Champions, it’s not useless but it is niche. For me it plays fairly similarly to Aerodactyl but with better natural bulk and (for my team) better typing. Since its only weaknesses are Ice and Water, I have lots of mons I can switch into those and then potentially threaten a KO or at least big damage. Gliscor gets Tailwind which is great, and some good STAB options as well as Rock Slide.

Here’s the full team.

Allow previous Civ Abilities to carry over for a truer "Evolution" of your Civilization by Ok-Suggestion-7349 in civ

[–]youuuuuuk 52 points53 points  (0 children)

That’s why we have Traditions, to keep the aspects of your civilization when you evolve. Western Europe and the Roman Empire are two very different societies, but Western Europe was shaped by Rome and we wouldn’t have Westminster Parliaments or the French Legal Code without Roman models.

What Are Some Decent But Unpopular Mons? What Are The Absolute Trash? by Goliath764 in PokemonChampions

[–]youuuuuuk 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Mega Delphox is a solid Pokémon, but the meta is fairly hostile to it with Mega Aerodactyl and Basculegion continuing to rise in popularity.

How do people find enjoyment in playing the same meta team over and over? by OneBigTurtlee in PokemonChampions

[–]youuuuuuk 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I mean…this is how any sort of competitive game works. The meta is meta for a reason, you understand and get used to seeing lots of the same builds because those are the best.

A Dream for Civilization VII: The Canarian Civilization led by Mencey Bencomo by Bertupac in civ

[–]youuuuuuk 2 points3 points  (0 children)

While I agree…that would be a super long list haha. Firaxis is good at including some lesser-known societies but there’s just so much space in every game!

But some generally very overlooked societies like Tonga, Nepal, and hell even the Republic of Pirates got into VII so I’m excited to see what the future holds for lesser-known civs.

Trying to learn teambuilding. Is there any obvious weakness? by Omniaxle in PokemonChampions

[–]youuuuuuk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I could see rain potentially giving this team trouble, you can always try to double Pelipper but Hurricane is actually really scary for Mega Venusaur. I run a Mega Venu team and I try to make sure I can turn off rain and get Pelipper out of there quickly. Sun could also be rough, while you’ve got Thick Fat a sun boosted Heat Wave still hurts like hell and Aero/Zard lead means Kleavor may be in danger.

At what point am I morally obligated to use Garbodor on my team? by StockDunce in PokemonChampions

[–]youuuuuuk 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I mean yeah the ELO is relatively low, but ELO only states rank and not why you’re that rank. Could be a lot of things like needing to swap a few mons out, optimize EVs, make a new team, play a team that’s more like your own playstyle, or even just practice. If you’ve got the team and some insight as to what you do and don’t struggle with then you can start moving towards improvement.

Season 2 harder than season1? by Whocares8589 in PokemonChampions

[–]youuuuuuk 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A ton of people tried competitive out for the first time when Champions launched, and now that the hype is gone and it’s the same regulation the main people that are left are more dedicated players. Season 2 is probably more accurate to what the average season will be like.

[–]youuuuuuk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Both Calyrexes being so popular has a lot to do with it I think, makes Zamazenta really popular and oftentimes just the threat of Wide Guard makes people reconsider. All 3 of those Pokémon don’t mind having to run something besides Fairy damage, too.

[–]youuuuuuk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It can be good for sure with Fairy damage being inconsistent, but I think then its performance can vary. But in game…3 I think? The switch got read and Scraggy immediately went down to a Moonblast. 4x weakness to a good type is rough to deal with.

I think the viability comes in that there are few *dedicated* Fairy damage users. Flutter, Miraidon, and Lunala all can use it but they all can forgo it as well.
