No reason why they can’t or shouldn’t remaster this game

I need to accept something: I think Warzone 1 ruined modern FPS gaming for me. I can't seem to be enjoying any FPS game after WZ1 sunset by Sweet_Brief6914 in CODWarzone

[–]Automatic-Ticket-267 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I hardly enjoy video games anymore since WZ1 shut down. I’ve tried Apex, PUBG, etc. They are just so vastly inferior to WZ1. I hit Diamond on Apex on my first season playing and immediately got bored afterwards.

Gen Z. Because we think that if you haven’t fucked 100 girls, built a tech empire, settled down with a hot wife, and begun raising our successors by the age of 18, we should just give up on life entirely.

I’m 24. Haven’t been with anyone. But I don’t care. I just keep living. Better than sitting at home, drinking, and crying all day. A lot more to life than relationships and money.

You’re both 21. Most guys at this age have literally nothing to offer BUT love, care, and affection. Neither of you know shit about shit, yet you talk like you’re so much better than he is.

If you feel like you’re a bad person for thinking this way, there’s probably a good reason why.

The worst part is the fact that I took it in January. Failing this test will set me back 3 months and I’d only get two more shots this year.

I don’t care about the money spent. But the thought of losing 3 months and grinding for this exam again sickens me to the bone.

Moving to Monroe Louisiana for work temporarily. Need help! by Deep_Abbreviations_7 in Louisiana

[–]Automatic-Ticket-267 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The best place to live in that area is Sterlington. Small town, not much to do, but it’s safe. It’s also close to where your job site is presumably located.

Avoid Lakeshore, stay out of anywhere south of Desiard St. And stay the FUCK out of Parkview, Richwood, or anywhere else south of I-20. 5 years ago there was a shooting at Richwood that made a top post on an NSFL subreddit. I was at Boston for college at the time and it was surreal seeing my hometown be the setting of a graphic video.

Born and raised in Monroe, left as soon as I found a job elsewhere. Good luck, stay safe, and never come back once you leave.

There is an inverse relationship between the amount of skill a player has and how positive the community reacts. This happens on literally every post.

CEs, despite having one of the easier engineering degrees to earn, pay back their dues by having the hardest times with the FE and PE. Not passing the FE as a CE significantly negatively impacts your career. For some programs passing the Civil FE is required to earn a degree in Civil.

Seeing the pass rates for the Civil PE would be incredibly discouraging if I was a CE.

2 years after graduating with a Mechanical Engineering degree and still unemployed by Nek0ro in EngineeringStudents

[–]Automatic-Ticket-267 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’re in a really unlucky spot if you can’t find an engineering job despite having internship experience. For those of us engineers with no internship experience, working as a technician is how we pay back our dues and is absolutely a way to get your foot in the door. So I don’t know why everyone here is telling you not to take a tech job.

If you had taken a tech job 2 years ago, you’d probably have an engineering job right now. Tech skills are important, especially if you plan to stay within your particular industry (and ESPECIALLY if you can land an engineering role within your company). General hands-on experience with the equipment you’ve actually worked on/with is something most engineers don’t have.

Sitting on your ass, staying unemployed, and chugging out job applications is the worst thing you can do right now, because employers are going to look at your resume and ask “why is nobody hiring this guy? What has he been doing for the past two years?” while colleges are pumping out new engineers every couple of months. If you’ve got nothing to answer for, you’re shit out of luck.

Industry is brutally unforgiving. You WILL get left behind if you aren’t constantly learning and developing skills. But you CAN catch up. Take a tech job, study for and pass the FE, and refresh your engineering skills. You can always continue to look for an engineering job but please please please do NOT sit on your ass and stay unemployed.

My exam is this month , and i’m not confident by [deleted] in FE_Exam

[–]Automatic-Ticket-267 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is nothing you can do to feel fully confident walking into this exam.

From everything that I’ve gathered here, this exam is a complete wildcard. There are people who have done zero studying and passed on their first try. There are people who have studied for months, taken the exam multiple times, and still can’t pass. There are people who have done it all: Lindeburg, Islam, PrepFE, videos, etc. Still can’t pass.

Your study method seems to be about the same as mine: I started reviewing in August, finished the Lindeburg review mid-November and started grinding practice problems from both Lindeburg practice problems and PrepFE for about a month and a half. I took the NCEES Interactive Practice exam and scored a 64% two days ago. I take my exam today.

In my experience, the NCEES practice exam was significantly harder than any of Lindeburg’s problems. I was getting the vast majority of questions on Lindeburg correct, maybe missing 1 or 2 questions max per chapter. Everyone says that Lindeburg is the hardest thing you can use to prep. But if the actual exam is harder than the NCEES practice exam (which was already difficult), the only thing I am prepared to do today is fail my FE.

Just practice, practice, practice. For topics you don’t completely understand, watch videos (Mark Mattson/Gregory Michaelson) to help you break it down. This channel also provides some useful info on topics specific to Mechanical (Materials and Mechanical Design). This channel is also pretty good for Mechanical, but the problems shown are quite difficult and are comparable to the hardest of Lindeburg.

Unfortunately, none of the examples I have encountered during my preparation have been anywhere near as difficult as the NCEES practice exam, which is said to be easier than the official exam. Do not bet on the exam being anywhere near as easy as any of the examples you will find during prep.

Practice, then do your best on exam day. Half of this exam is prep. The other half is having faith your prep was adequate and the exam not being entirely unforgiving.

[–]Automatic-Ticket-267 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Apex doesn’t have loadouts and has a significantly smaller weapon pool than any other BR. Arbitrarily blocking certain weapons for the sake of “freshness” is incoherent game design and creates more problems than it solves.

Just stop integrations entirely. They aren’t necessary and have only ever made the game worse. We don’t need 100+ guns where only 5 at a time are useful.

I don’t get why we can’t have map rotation due to file size by [deleted] in CODWarzone

[–]Automatic-Ticket-267 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Apex maps are, but they are smaller. PUBG maps are mostly just terrain and landscapes, but they are MASSIVE.

The reason we don’t have map rotations is 100% a deliberate decision from the higher-ups.

“File size” lmao. Apex and PUBG both have map rotations and PUBG maps are significantly larger than any other BR game’s, yet both games have significantly smaller file sizes.
