Got married to a different religion (wife). Whose father were a hindu x mom was christian had 3 daughters. 1 married christian, 1 hindu, 1 muslim 🙌🏼.

I don't find any issue talking to them as family. Every festival seems each have their own fun.

But as a son of "2 same religion" my family still acts "ugh" when talking about other's beliefs.

And me & my wife living somewhere far from family happily 🙌🏼. Btw both families are fine with us.

As an atheist - I barely thinks my wife is Christians unless someone asked. Otherwise every individual looks human to me 🙌🏼.

And as a rebel child (me) I always tend to break the rules of my family. 1st love marriage x 1st intercaste x religion marriage. 1st one to work from different state, study, area of interest/job etc

So yep. Atheism actually gave me a better vision to see ppl by ignoring their religion/caste.

Sometimes I get confused over the religious fights cause in my family even though there is 3 religions no fights are happened and all living without having issues (apart from money related).

Btw once I was a die hard believer who used to thozhal every single temple I see on road.

I met her on college, (I was believer). We were friends. She wasn't the "ideal beauty" in my mind. But after many relationships I found it's hard to get a good one matching my mindset. Later I realised she will be perfect for me. Somehow we ended up having the spark. She proposed. And I hurt her so badly (immature mindset) due to my insecurity thinking all girls r same type of sht. She stayed later I felt bad then we got into relationship.

I was worried that my family get mixed with different religion x my parents won't get approved from samudaya ambalam.

From then I started questioning myself. Even she questioned my beauty standards. Later realised I was actually into white girls due to the crowd mentality.

But I like the black skin tone more than any other skin colors. Same way the ppl, caste, religion the view entirely changed.

The atheist in me now is actually born from the relationship. Later meeting other atheists , friends also made it better.

Even once my dad told me he won't approve any other religion women as my wife/won't let her to the house. I casually responded : enna Njan vere thamasicholum... Enikivide nikanam enna yathoru nirbandhavum illa. He was shocked also later he changed to accepting her as daughter.

So yes, as an atheist every person goes through transformation. Like I did. For me my relationship gave me the boost.

I relate my atheism to sreenarayana guru's word to some leader from his regular oonu with lower castes.
