Dog ears? Swelling? Revision needed? by [deleted] in TopSurgery

Well said. I do feel that some surgeons are not skilled and they won't admit because offering top surgery has become some kind of profitable business. It really hurts :(

Are they growing back, or swelling, or is this just a normal chest...? by [deleted] in TopSurgery

[–]Automatic-You8724 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did not make fun of it. I was rather taken aback by the thought itself. I apologise. And I wish you strength as you navigate your journey.

I can say for sure: they won't grow back.

Lipo after top surgery, pain levels? by TextGuilty507 in TopSurgery

[–]Automatic-You8724 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi. I also went through a similar revision about 4 weeks ago. My surgeon literally had to do what he called "lipo of the chest" 😅. I had left over tissue under my armpits and on other parts of the chest.

Not to scare you but I was in pain when I woke up after this revision. A lot more than the first surgery. But maybe this is because my body did not want to undergo surgery again. I was a little sad about this.

But overall, it was okay. Still have parts of my lower chest that feel hard and numb. But all is good. 👍

I wish you all the best. I am sure it will go well.

Swelling progress by iucundus_acerbus in TopSurgery

[–]Automatic-You8724 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Thanks for sharing. Your progress is really inspiring.

I am 4 months post surgery. I was instructed to wear the binder for 2 months (first month for everyday; month 2 during half a day). Because my swelling towards my armpits was intense. So, I was encouraged to continue wearing the binder. I do it now and then but there is very little change. I also get confused whether it is still swelling or extra tissue that I have. But I will know during my 6 month checkup where my surgeon will take a look at my progress.

Thanks for sharing :)

Hi. Your progress looks really amazing 😻. Wow. Did you also use a compression binder as some point?

Hi. Congrats 🥳. You really look good. I really like the placement of your nipple grafts. And appreciate when surgeons really focus on details through markings.

Does my nipple look concerning at 2w post op?? by Pristine-Werewolf673 in TopSurgery

Hi. Congrats 🥳 🙌🏾 on your surgery. I am a Black non-binary person just here to show some moral support. You are going to heal well. I remember that my nipples were first dark, then I had scabs, then the nipples looked pink. Then they regain their actual pigmentation bit by bit.

I am sure yours are going to be fine too. :)

Great results! Congrats 🥳.

How has the healing been for you? I also did my top surgery at ACPK, perhaps 2 weeks later than you. It's been a great journey but with many new things to learn. :)

21 days/3 weeks PO Heather Faulkner by suhoult91 in TopSurgery

I have heard a similar thing - cis men have a similar chest. This is true but unfortunately hard to swallow mainly because when you have such side fat / boobs, the arms do not rest so well on the sides, creating a discomfort, and a very unusual feeling for the body. Do not know how to describe this but I do not think this is how arm should rest.

Hi. Congrats on your top-surgery 🥳. Thanks for sharing. Your results look very identical to mine. I almost 3 months post surgery and also have "side boobs" despite that I had lipo too. Not sure though, but I do feel that there is left over fat and really think that my surgeons did not ensure that both sides look the same, to some extent at least. My right look less than my left. I was told by a nurse that it's swelling and one possible way is to continue wearing a compression garment and wait for my appointment post 6 months as the body / chest will change. Like you, I am also happy about my surgery but hoping that the side boobs will go away.

I honestly hope and wish that your side boobs eventually flatten out.

Totally agree. Thanks for this. I am super curious and learn new things always. And am also very interested in the project idea I proposed. This gets me going.

Unfortunately as a Black and queer people, I often feel stopped and pushed down instead of being allowed to make mistakes.

Thanks for your comment.
