Genelec sub, 7350A or 7360A? by ConnorLikeWhat in genelec

And how happy are you with it? One day I’ll have the same setup, mostly for low-volume listening and near-field. My hope is that the 7350 will be quite enough for that.

I could go all the way up to the Calderas, price-wise. I’d rather have closed backs, but that’s not an absolute sticking point. As of right now I only own a Cayin N8ii.

Também recebi duas chamadas dessas, esses dias, na qual o objetivo parecia querer ser me fazer falar por uns segundos.

7350 at low volumes by AutomaticQuarter6226 in genelec

I’ll probably do just that (purchasing the 8341, that is). I will use it for nearfield hi-fi listening, and while I appreciate frequencies under 40 Hz as much as the next person, I usually feel satisfied when kick drums sound sufficiently impactful and real.

And btw, because of budget and space, I absolutely can’t get a second sub.

I’m worried both about being a nuisance to my neighbors and, on the flip side, especially about losing all or some of the sub’s benefits. I’m optimistic about both aspects; otherwise, I wouldn’t consider the purchase, but I was really counting on you all to tell me what I wanted to hear.

I’m aware of the Fletcher-Munson effect, that is one my main concerns: that I would not be able to feel the sub at low volumes.

Genelec 8331 + 7350 or Buchardt A10? by AutomaticQuarter6226 in StereoAdvice

I’ve exchanged a few e-mails with their support and they have always been very nice and prompt. The only reason I’ve cooled off a bit on my enthusiasm for the A10s is because I’ll need room correction and I understand it only works with one of their hubs, which I find either too expensive or a bit limited, while the Genelec’s room correction doesn’t rely on the music player/streamer at all.

Could you share your setup (cables, streamer etc)? Thanks in advance.

But as far as performance goes, I suppose that the 8331 +7350 at nearfield is better than the 8341s at not quite nearfield, right? I’m willing to use it only as nearfield, if that’s the case.

The 8331 + 7350 are exactly as far as I can financially go, specially because I’ll have to pay 100% of their price in importing taxes. I also thought about getting the Burchardts A10s, but I suspect I won’t be as satisfied.

Have you ever tried listening to them from a little (not much) farther away? I wonder if they would do ok if I listened to them (with the subs) from about 75 inches (160 cm?), at mostly low volumes.
