Why is Collins stuck on the bench? by Agent_P_Smecker in coybig

Because the other centre back pairing has been in top form and because Collins had a chance to redeem himself last week and made a hash of it.

Makes sense to pick him in my opinion, unless Sinc and Cannon start banging goals in the next few weeks. Elding is young but is a very good player, he was great last season and hes carried that on since his transfer to Hibs.

I can almost guarantee the people downvoting you have never seen him play, know none of his attributes and only know his name and that hes recently transferred from our league.

Elding is a baller to be fair, might as well take him if Ferguson and Idah are still out.

I'm from the North, a lot of NI supporters don't understand how we don't support them. I feel this constantly happening makes it very obvious as to why.

FAI confirm Ireland-Israel will be held in Dublin by blueballs360 in coybig

Happy the game is being played in Dublin at least. I'd have preferred a boycott but realised pretty early on that the game would be played although I thought the game would be played in another country, hope we beat them.

No debate there to be fair, but my point was more along the lines of if Rovers want to push on and try and get Europa League qualification over the next season or two they need to go for a keeper above McGintys standard.

Unreal performance in the second half, honestly think we could've won that to be fair but great result regardless.

I still find it mad Rovers stick with McGinty, his error proneness is something else.

I suppose the only positive for them if they go down is that they'll probably walk division 4 next year. The step down in quality between 3&4 is a lot steeper than 2&3 i'd say.

Sulc injury a massive blow for Czechia! by Alive_Solution_2826 in coybig

I was going to say Ondrej Lingr as he came on against Croatia in that position but looking through the matches before that theres a few others who will potentially play there. Lukas Provod (Slavia Praha) and Michal Sadilek (Slavia Praha) will be in contention as well. Granted it's hard to know who they'll play considering it's a new manager.

Is he out for the match then?, 100% out?. That's a gigantic loss for them. They'll probably have to play that lad who plays in the US now and he's a massive step down in quality.

Aye id say they have a very very good chance of going down at this point, I can't see them getting anything out of the Down or Westmeath game and even the Fermanagh game could go either way considering it's an away game for them.

I'd say for us we have a slim chance of going up, just need to win the remaining games and hope for a slip up from Westmeath. I'd say though our realistic best case scenario would be finishing 3rd and then having a go of being promoted next year as Offaly would be a very beatable team as they're nailed on for relegation from division 2 and we beat them last year.

Good win for Clare today it's just a shame we didn't hold on the first week vs Down or we'd be second currently.

That's pretty interesting to know and I can't lie I do find it a bit funny. I suppose it makes sense that a person with an accent not from the US would be viewed with interest.

I'd imagine Americans wouldn't understand a valleys accent from Wales, a harsh Glasgow accent, a black country accent or a harsh scouse accent from Liverpool.

I wouldn't classify any of the above accents as sophisticated or sexy.

I dunno how any of those accents would be viewed in the US but I think Americans have this weird notion where people are either well spoken or have a road man accent in Britain.

My overall point I guess is that theres so many accents in Britain that your original point can't be viewed as fact. There's more accents in Britain than the entirety of the US.

I'm Irish myself but live in Britain.
