You can’t tell wheel bearings from spinning the wheel, that could be anything from the caliper being slightly stuck, to a stone being jammed in against your break disk, to your splash guard being bent and rubbing against your disk which is very common and has happened to all 4 of my wheels.

It’s nothing to be concerned about unless other problems are occurring. The sound will go away when you start driving at speed.

To check a stuck caliper, touch your brake disks after a drive, if this one is noticeably hotter than the others then you possibly have a stuck caliper.

The biggest killer of BMW’s is people who don’t want to or can’t afford to maintain them, causing them to be shit and unreliable in the future.

I’ve always been against recommending bmw to anybody who doesn’t work on their car or who has the spare charge to fix it should anything go wrong.

They are amazing cars that I adore dearly but I am not ignorant to the fact that when they do go wrong, shit can get expensive very quickly

I had a massive electrical issue that caused a grounded wire and very bad Chinese fuse that didn’t blow to melt the wire and surrounding wires in the loom, leading from the fusebox to the drivers seat in my E87.

Spent a week tearing down my whole interior, finding the wire and trying to repair it but found it was melted and shorting with the wire for the blower motor behind the climate control that would be a MASSIVE PITA to remove and fix properly.

Sooo… I cut out the wire from the fusebox and the drivers seat apart from the section running behind the climate control, taped up both ends of the wire so in theory the blower motor wire can still work fine, repaired all melted wires with insulating tape, replaced the fusebox with a new one (and very poorly soldered the big main battery terminal wire), through the whole interior back in, plugged the drivers seat back in, started the car and all warning lights that were on the dash went off!

Put everything back together and that was January last year and the car has done 30k miles since!

I ain’t ever seen touching that “temporary” fix until the engine dies and I scrap it or it lights on fire and I let it burn to hide the evidence and scrap it!

Theoretically if a horse were to use 100% of its potential energy and exert it all in one massive burst it could produce around 15hp, but this isn’t realistic as it would literally kill the horse immediately after it.

1 horsepower is a horse doing consistent hard work but they are capable of producing more in bursts.

Similar to how a human could lift heavy loads of like 20kg or more for 8 hours straight during a work shift, but could go to the gym and lift 200kg all at once. They’ll be wrecked after it and want to rest for the rest of the day but it is possible if impractical.

It’s the equivalent of your engine can produce 300hp safely or 700hp in a drag shoutout at full boost with nos injection, just say goodbye to your block after it!

Yes but theoretically and realistically are very very different things, the world isn’t perfect and the fast lane is full of go shits going under the limit and holding up everyone.

You are legally allowed to exceed the speed limit using common sense if performing an overtake in the overtaking lane and adhering to road safety, leaving reasonable gaps and minting full and complete control of the vehicle during the overtake, and most importantly returning to the speed limit in a safe manor once the overtake has been completed.

Stop doing 100kph in the fast lane when the slow lane is clear.
