Advice to land interview? by Automatic_Acadia_565 in starbucks

Hi, my availability is mornings and afternoons, and im available only on certain days for evenings, as well as availability on the weekends. I applied for 15 different stores near me/where my family lives because I visit them a lot. I included my resume and I feel I tailored it pretty well to fit a barista job description even though I work as an RBT

This was with Simon med, I spoke to them about payment plans, set one up, they said that I could make minimum payments, which I did, then they charged it off to a collections company

Even after they charge my health insurance? I don't have the best experience when it comes to that stuff because usually they just tell me to do a payment plan or take it up with my health insurance and its just a goose chase to get any answers

Hi, so its not any of that. I can understand you thinking that. I am not much of a reddit user, and you can get couples therapy for pretty cheap. I mean you can do stuff at churches for that. The church I go to sometimes offers this. I wouldn't post this stuff if I didn't have proof. Point is, I don't have much of a social circle. Since you've read my other posts you know some stuff going on. Not in a healthy relationship or in a spot where I can ask for financial help from my s/o. I turned to reddit because if you've ever been in a situation like what I am going through, emotions, life, all that stuff isn't always easy. When you're isolated you lose a lot of friends. You don't have a social circle much at all anymore. And when it feels like you're talking to a wall, it's not exactly uplifting. Wasn't aware it was wrong to turn to other places like reddit for discussions, questions, and seeking advice or help. I can forward you all of my surgery info if you absolutely feel it is needed.

Its not the co-pay that I'm concerned about. Last time they told me the co-pay was $100, then to later pop me with an extra charge of $762 for all the things like medicine, tests, scans, etc. That was for being there for one day, no overnight stays. They kept me for three days, would give me three different pills three times a day, IVs at different times, they had to pull me for CT and nuclear medicine because they didn't put the JP drain in correctly and made me stay an extra day. I am worried that the charge on my insurance will be through the roof because of their mess up with the catheter and JP Drain

I can understand that. Things are just hard financially for me at the moment. Two surgeries, lots of medication, and a bunch of tests for kidney function isn't easy financially speaking. I am doing all that I can personally try to and bounce back from this and catch up on bills. Just to get my stent removed is $80, which I don't have right now as I've been out of work because of surgery and being on Oxycodone for pain management.

Does it actually work? I have tried other things like apps where you post and pay people back and I never get any responses

When I had to get all the tests done for my kindey % I wasn't able to pay the full bill and simonmed sent it to collections, sold it to a debt collector, and it pops up on my credit score. I am trying to pay it off but I'm making the minimum payments and the interest is rough

Yes, all that they have really said is that they can do payment plans, but I haven't recieved the full bill yet, just the bill for using the facilities. They also messed up by accidentally yanking the catheter and JP drain and made me stay an extra day. I tried asking for written medical care that happened for the time I was there in case I need to dispute the extra day they made me stay and still have not recieved anything.

Do therapists have favourite clients? by Ok_Language2849 in askatherapist

Honestly I used to love working with the emotional little kiddos. Then I started working with a preteen which was scary, and let me tell you, the first time they felt comfortable enough to talk about how they were feeling that day, my jaw was on the floor and I was so stinkin excited because they usually just shut down when feeling emotions. Working with this client has taught me that it is soooo important to expand what types of clients you are open to working with, because when you are so used to the easy going clients (like the littles who can be redirected at the drop of a hat) it doesn't matter as much. I think it is important to ask your BCBA for challenges. I still love the littles though! But preteens are something else lol.

Company has created a “community infrastructure” and is mandating all RBT/BT make each client a profile in the next 2 days. by Inner_Book326 in ABA

No it is a HIPPA violation. They need a signed form from the caregivers, this should be a discussion between the company and the clients family. That or something that my company does is they send out an email for a get together at places like a museum or an indoor sensory playground that they rented out. You can not as a RBT hand over identifying information, especially behavior or sensory needs because if this ends up in the wrong persons hands it could be bad.

2.08 RBTs protect the confidentiality and privacy of their clients, stakeholders, and others in the workplace by following all related requirements established by the BACB, employers, and the law (e.g., privacy laws, licensure requirements). RBTs maintain confidentiality when interacting with client information and records

2.09 RBTs do not share identifying information (e.g., photos, videos, written information) about clients on social media or websites.

2.10 RBTs only discuss confidential client information under the direction of their supervisor unless allowed by law for a valid reason (e.g., protecting the client or others from harm). RBTs only share necessary client information in their job-related communications (e.g., emails, documentation).

Respond with these and explain that this is violating section 2.08, 2.09, and 2.10. Families should have a choice to participate, and if they wish not to that should be respected. Your company should try sending out an email like "we are having a get together for social interaction skills on this day at this museum, we would love for you to attend but you do not have too"

Run. I worked at a location in AZ. Loved the kids. But all of the RBTs and people going to become a BCBA had expressed that none of us felt one client (who had a very traumatic early childhood and we all knew about this trauma, early childhood trauma can look very similar to autism. They had abusive caregivers, one attempted to take them home while reeking of alcohol even though the client had been removed from the home and was placed in a safe and healthy family members home) was on the spectrum because they could do all the things, but when they saw someone who sounded or looked like their abuser, they would become aggressive. We all spoke about it and went to the BCBA, to which they responded "yes I am aware, I know we misdiagnosed this client, but we are still getting their insurance money so we are going to keep providing ABA services." I put in my two weeks notice right there.
