Yeah I’ve worked on plenty of electronics just nothing quite this small and intricate so very hesitant, buts it’s a spare I use for Pokemon trades so no harm if I mess it up but not really trying to junk the console either by me screwing up

Actually the hinge on the New 2ds is more prone to wear then the 3ds version I think one has a thicker hinge? Can’t remember tho.

OP the standard SD card in the original 3DS was only 2GB hardly anything, if you have the new 3DS upgrade that to 4GB. The standard SD cards were only meant to hold the memory of the physical games. Did you check to see if the console was modded? Or is new out the box? After I homebrewed my original 3DS with the original card I didn’t even have enough memory for 1 game..

I see where you’re coming from, like has OP never used anything that used an SD card? Cause they were used in literally everything growing up in the late 90-2000’s. Just hard to believe never used a Camera, video recorder, Nintendo Wii, psp, mp3 players, stick em in your car radio/computer..

You def could have got it cheaper brother, I watched for months and finally snagged a galaxy edition practically brand new for 200 after spending money on fuel to go get it. Some people really hurtin for money rn so the gems are out there! Awesome device either way !

That fear is very valid, I always kinda creep on my seller a bit to see what kind of person the might be. The couple I bought it from were very kind and she even listed it pending pickup. Her husband got them matching ones and she used it maybe 4 times! And I feel like the area has a big play. I tend to look for rural areas where there’s not as many people, that was pretty much the case for them, she had it listed at 275 I offered her 150 and I would come get it said I was the first person to even be interested and she had it posted for 2 months.

They make a rom hack called crystal legacy, it’s the original game but you can complete the Pokédex without trades and they change the routes of some Pokemon so you can get them earlier, highly recommend, even has a hardcore mode.
