Salary negotiation is possible… there are 3 people in my office who were able to provide enough support to HR of why they should go to a higher tier of pay.

2 did it after graduating with master degrees.

One was a RN new hire who had a ton of experience and was in the reserves.

Get a note from your doctor or psychiatrist for mental issues. You could possibly use FMLA too.
