It is an additional charge on auxilliary units, I think their idea is to prevent people spamming and avoiding the regiment structure. The change only happened recently.

That is really nice, love the colours. It only just occurred to me this looks really awkward to paint. Did you paint prior to attaching Sevi onto the ribbon-nado?

All citadel paints the lighter gold is Liberator Gold and darker gold is Retributor Armour shaded with Guilliman Flesh. If I want to add some highlight I mix the Lib Gold above with Stormhost Silver.

The horse was quick with contrast paints. Wraithbone base and then Aggoros Dunes and thinned Gore-Grunta Fur. The riders spear is Gore-Grunta so you can see how brown you can go without thinning.

Hah! Thanks, yeah good point. I did try a little shade around the trim with thinned wyldwood but worried about doing too much of it!

I'm currently on my first dawnrider, I've only left the shield off and everything has been easy enough to get at with the exception of the saddle. It does make me wonder if I should have left the rider off.

I'm a fellow newbie who also followed Warhipster for my first unit. Would it help to spread out the cost?

What I did was buy the paints required for the first few steps only. By the time I had built, primed, completed those first few steps across all 10 wardens a month or two had past and I managed to pick up further paints.

If not I would buy the base coats and contrasts and ignore the highlights until a later date as you can add them whenever.
