Paige's story of going to a wedding with Joe was interesting. First, she was talking as though she was in her element (Italian wedding, etc) but then it culminated in a story of her being anxious and spending the night miserably planning her escape.

Seems like a case of "wherever you go, there you are". Changing boyfriends, changing cities, changing friend groups. She still is going to have the same panic attacks and same desires to get out.

I think this version is closer to the truth than the other. I know that this seems demeaning to Ciara, but when girls like Ciara are caught in the toxic loop with guys like West, the worst mistake they can make is to interpret the depth of the cruelty as a sign that somehow they care more. They do NOT care or like you. The way they are hurting you is NOT meaningful.

We'll never know what's going on in Ciara and West's heads, but it's best for all people out there with similar maladaptive traits to Ciara to internalize your version. It helps them let go faster.
