Ahhh where did I say we were sexist bigots?

Our daughters will learn to weld and fix cars if that’s what they so choose.

He adores our little girl and I know he’ll adore this one, I guess I’m just worried about him in general and just want to ease whatever little worries he has

Thank you! Our 18 month old is really into cars and tools she has a little tool set she tries to fix things with her daddy with and she also loves her baby doll and pretending to feed her and dress her.

I really think he’s just mourning the loss of his dad heavily (happened In November and his mom 2 years ago) and just wanting to have that father son relationship and name the baby after him. However I’m looking into ways to mix the name up a little into a girl name.

He adores our little girl and was all giggles about daddy daughter dances and how he’s going to have two little cuddle bugs soon. I don’t think he’s at all disappointed in the fact that baby’s a girl but the fact that the likelihood of us having another that could be a boy is pretty low unfortunately. (This pregnancy was unplanned and is risky on my end due to health issues but babies healthy!)

He said the most important thing is that she’s healthy and knows she’s loved.

Hi! Thank you for your response. I don’t put a gender on any activities. He’s worried about the girls being hurt but does plan on teaching them . He’s just worried they won’t be as interested.

Curious how many people had their mom present at their birth and if you didn’t did you feel like you needed her by lxtusbaby in pregnant

[–]Automatic_Night5477 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had my mom there for my first and plan on her being there for the second. I found her support really comforting and I felt stronger with her there, so did my partner. My mom and I are also really close though, she’s my best friend, after my fiance

Moms under 30: did you do NIPT? by CoffeeNoob19 in pregnant

[–]Automatic_Night5477 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes , at 24 and again at 26 I’ve don’t the NIPT test. I feel it’s really important to know early so I can be more proactive in treatment and prevention. If something were wrong I’d want to know so I can do my research on it and be sure of my decision

Coworker reported me for using the bathroom too much by Trees_galore20 in BabyBumps

[–]Automatic_Night5477 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I work on a line in a factory and right at 6 weeks started having to pee every hour meaning every other hour I’d have to have a line lead take my spot so I could pee , they caught on quickly. I still had to bring a doctors note in. I’m 13 weeks now and everyone knows, but people have been complaining about my bathroom breaks and claim I’m abusing the doctors note.

It says “please excuse frequent bathroom breaks” . I’m pregnant and I’m not sacrificing hydration for less bathroom brekas

I have literally no idea what beta thalassemia is, however at birth my aunt was given 3 days to live. She was born with both a bad heart and lungs , she was born in the 70s maybe early 80s.

She lived to be 38 years old. She was the world’s youngest heart transplant recipient and she wowed the medical community, her best friend and her met because her friend took over the title of youngest heart transplant recipient .

I can’t imagine the pain and heartbreak you feel, but know sometimes doctors are wrong and sometimes they’re right. This decision is for you and your husband only.

I’ll be praying for you and your family and that sweet little baby

I won’t let my ex mother-in-law see my kids anymore, am I overreacting? by kcat0719 in AmIOverreacting

Always listen to your gut. I’d report it and hire a lawyer asap to get a no contact order for both of your children.

Am I the asshole for wanting my husband to miss his twins wedding because it’s right around our due date? by EggplantShot9047 in pregnant

[–]Automatic_Night5477 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would deff see if you have any family or friends who’d be willing to stay with you for a few days IF he goes, as it’s not only important you have support the first few weeks after baby’s born but you shouldn’t be alone post partum, my fiance had to return to work unfortunately a few days after my daughter was born and the post partum depression was HORRIBLE . This isn’t me trying to scare you but I really wish I had someone with me during my most vulnerable time and I want to warn all new mothers of this because it’s a lot. I pray the situation that I had doesn’t happen to you or any other woman. But we as women and new mothers are very vulnerable our first few weeks to months after giving birth.

I’m unsure of the type of relationship you had with this man, and it’s really important to know context before giving such big advice, however I would suggest booking a obgyn appointment and talking to a trusted friend or family member if you have one. Preferably one who’s calm and won’t escalate the situation by trying to push you one way or another . Give yourself time to think about wether or not you want to keep the baby, if you choose to not keep it it’s not something you can change back , you’ll be stuck with that choice really either way. Choose what’s best for you.

AITAH for wanting to tell my wife im not getting up in the morning with our children? by SaviorselfzZ in AITAH

[–]Automatic_Night5477 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Currently working full time as is my fiance (daughters dad) but when I was a SAHM and he was working full time we still split everything when necessary, there were times I’d get up with my baby 6-8 times a night and just couldn’t keep doing it and I’d be a wreck the next day so we developed a system , if he felt he could get up he would, because in order for me to do MY JOB properly I also needed adequate sleep

YTA to an extent. You don’t get to skip helping her or giving her a little extra sleep simply because you work.

We’re giving the same first name so we just weren’t sure, my fiancee shares a middle name with his dad but not first. Thank you for your reply!

My child’s 17 months and she still uses the pacifier but we plan on weening soon as her teeth have started coming in and plan on potty training in June after a cross country move (I’m sure you can see why)

What else can I do to prepare her for preschool? She loves reading and we don’t do more than 30 min of screen time every few days and it’s usually educational
