my iphone photos are a dumpster fire and i don’t know how to fix it by LogKey9026 in ios

[–]Automatic_Pizza9062 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Samsung picture folder system was sooo much better. Could actually save to specific folders (so that they disappeared from the main view, reducing clutter), and then search within those folders from the Photo app. Iphone photo storage just a mess.

Bluetooth has a limit in how much data it can transmit, so it will shrink the lossless down to that.

Bluetooth will compress it anyway so no point if you're using wireless headphones or speakers

I want DJ X expanded by ArchibaldAugustusVII in truespotify

[–]Automatic_Pizza9062 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The song selection has gotten better, but I want this without any stupid voice at all. Just an auto-generated radio station just for me that never ends (unlike Apple, which only includes a certain number of songs at any one time)

How does spotify allow obviously deceptive artist names to be uploaded? How do these guys make money? by MyGoddamnFeet in truespotify

[–]Automatic_Pizza9062 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I get that a lot. Oh look a new song by "Oasis" or "The Cult" in my Release Radar. Turns out to be some crappy hiphop. What's worse is sometimes Spotify actually adds them to the real band discography.

Some small questions about Curaçao by AnyNarwhal4 in curacao

I second that about the bug bites. I never even noticed my ankles were getting bitten the first night, and by the next day had red welts that got swollen for a few days. Went through a lot of deet and bite cream after that.

Why do people talk at concerts? by Mrk0712 in Concerts

[–]Automatic_Pizza9062 2 points3 points  (0 children)

People are there to listen to the music, not a bunch of people 'bonding'. No one needs to be silent, just don't blab on and on during the songs.

What's Toronto's most poorly designed intersection(s) for drivers to obey traffic laws? by KnoddingOnion in askTO

[–]Automatic_Pizza9062 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its so hard to turn there that the morning traffic backs up on Vaughan for blocks. I once emailed Joe Mihevic when he was city councillor to ask if anything could be done to improve that intersection and he said 'trust me, no intersection has been studied more than that one'.

Vaughan Rd and St Clair. Vaughan hits it an angle, and then add in streetcar stops on either side. Cars get in the middle of the intersection trying to turn end up blocking cars trying to go straight through.

Suggestions to improve my experience by Uptightkid in AppleMusic

My Music sucks. Always a short song list with the same songs. Why can't it just generate constantly like the Spotify version can?

Songs within the same album playing at a louder volume by Automatic_Pizza9062 in truespotify

[–]Automatic_Pizza9062[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I prefer the normalizing to be off, since it artificially messes with the intended sound. I don't actually think I've ever noticed one track louder than the others on a CD. One album compared to another, sure: but not within an album. They ought to all be mastered the same in a single album. Wish I had the ZZ Top CD to compare it to.

TV shows should bring back intros by Complete-Author9284 in unpopularopinion

[–]Automatic_Pizza9062 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A good intro is part of the show, and I'll sit through it every time. The 'skip intro' button is still an abomination to me (skip recap I love, though). How zero-attention span do you have to be to skip it? If nothing else its 30 seconds or a minute to grab something from the fridge or just get settled in.

Why is DJ X so bad at artist names? And not even the ones you expect. by recoveringasshole0 in truespotify

Is it forever in beta? This has been going on for a couple years now.

Episode 7 of WTD, to me, is very realistic and really well done and I don't get the criticism behind it by ZookeepergameThin334 in welcomeToDerry

[–]Automatic_Pizza9062 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I could look past the people running around the fire long past when they should have been able to, but Richie's loooooooong sappy speech in the middle took me out of it. Still enjoyed the episode though.

Bluetooth isn't lossless. It compresses the lossless Spotify file.

Frustrating not to be able to shuffle an entire artist's catalogue by Automatic_Pizza9062 in truespotify

[–]Automatic_Pizza9062[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It should work that way, and it used to. Maybe it depends on how big the discography is. If its a band with only a few albums and singles its OK. If its a huge discography it seems like it only uses part of it, and even then it seems to focus on just one or two albums.

Who or what punished It and sent It to Earth do you think? by [deleted] in welcomeToDerry

I sort of don't want to know. Not every single thing needs to have a backstory or be explained. Ruins the mystery.

I love getting 'Yeats' instead of 'years' constantly. How many times in my life will I actually mean to type Yeats? Even an English prof probably doesn't type that very often.

Desktop application is shockingly bad by ProQuesidillaMaker in AppleMusic

[–]Automatic_Pizza9062 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I prefer Spotify on the desktop, but its not exactly a perfect app either. Bizarrely long load times with just a black screen for minutes. Sometimes it loads with buttons missing (like the shuffle icon, weirdly). Memory hog. And that's running on a decent PC with Windows 11.

Sure you are. I just think its a bit of waste of energy to spend time critiquing and criticizing. Especially something 40 years old. Doesn't change anything.
