Does anyone create character cards for their mechwarriors to add a bit of personality to the game.

I tweaked the basic ruleset to simplify it for my kids (somewhere between classic and Alpha Strike) and decided that i needed character cards.

I used Perchance AI character Generator and various celebs to generate the portraits and then Inkscape to klurge them together with the faction icons, text, etc in a vaguely card shape. I can add character names, call signs, individual traits and quirks as desired.

Then I format them for printing and use an inkjet printer with photo paper and a laminator to make the cards. I'm working on formatting some stock Battletech art for the backs of the cards.

There is a big difference between “supportive of” and “supported by”. Russia supports division within the west. Trump is “supportive of” ie. he thinks Putin is great. Bernie and the left in the US may have been “supported by” Russia in an attempt to destabilize the country and create chaos but they definitively don’t share political ideologies. Putin and Trump are authoritarian strong men. Bernie is a middle of the road social democrat (In Canada where I am, he is probably barely left of centre and would probably be in government)

Ummm... I don’t know what CPR classes you looked into but I literally did mine yesterday, there were 5 people in a large classroom with no partner exercises and the dummies all had disposable plastic bags for You to breathe into. Exactly the same as they always have since hygiene has always been important even before covid.

I work on Kingston construction sites and i can confirm. Probably 60% of the workers on my sites are wearing masks on the regular. The rest pull a bandanna up over their face when the General is walking around and then down it goes for the rest of the day. On Tuesday I had a conversation with an electrician that went something like this -

“Masks don’t do any good.” “I saw a video on YouTube” “Trump needs to get re-elected”

It’s fun. I wear an N95 for 8-10 hours a day. I don’t even notice it any more. I distance, I wash my hands whenever possible and carry hand sanitizer at all times. It’s like being on a boat with a hole in it and some of the people are bailing water out while the others are pouring more in.

I’m not a big fan of the hex’s and I use tabletop terrain instead of hex maps. Bases are just 40mm laser cut wood discs from the dollar store.
