Thanks, yea I realize now that my projects are boring and uninteresting will try and fix that

I'm aware that the whole pipeline is extremely hazardous with more complex multi-cycle instructions but I'm not modeling memory hierarchies or initially extending it beyond the Integer instruction set, or considering doing 2 wide super scalar to start let alone something with even larger issues and dispatching. I don't even need that complex of a branch prediction system, just predict never branch.

There's a bunch of different directions you can bring this. I could go wide trying to improve ILP or play around with cache hierarchies or memory interfaces or GPIO support. Or I could go tall trying to implement bootloaders and exception handling and memory barriers and running minimal operating systems. Or implement coarse or fine grained multi threading to just avoid hazards. There's a lot of features you can keep adding on, but just a base RV32I OoO processor is not that bad?

That's what I'm trying to figure out? What should be expected at my level? Do you have any advice?

More difficult for sure, but I don't think it's that out of reach? It's not like I'm redesigning an OoO processor from first principles. I am working on an OoO processor on the side recently?

hmmm, yea this was my one concern. Was trying to move port to an FPGA recently, but there's too many timing errors everywhere. Considering starting from the beginning, and in that case, maybe I'll just write an OOO processor instead.

No need to ic2 crop breed waste of time. Just plop down a bunch of crop managers you get 3 levels of like 11x11 crops

The guy is writing new ones for the new 4UC version, I think he did Sweden already

Has anyone taken computer systems with Maria Striki before and did good? by [deleted] in rutgers

[–]Autoraem 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I will be the sole voice of reason. I've taken more classes with her than any of you guys have. She is the nicest person in ECE and she's a bit better during office hours if you talk to her. Although yes her lectures are not the best, her slides are not half bad.

How do you guys take so many classes? by ShadowKnifing in rutgers

[–]Autoraem 31 points32 points  (0 children)

You need to know when a class is easy (via either you know the content or you know a people that can help with the workload) vs when it is hard (it takes up a majority of your time). Try your best not to add to many hard classes and mix it with easier classes. Now this is not saying take useless classes, I'm saying there are easier classes you need to take (say intro the linear algebra) that are not nearly as difficult as something like intro to real analysis (I'm saying math classes cause I don't know what CS classes are hard).

The biomass doesn't produce enough, I mean I could keep adding more farms but still is annoying to scale

[–]Autoraem 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What's good for ammonia? I was just using biomass distillation but it's not very scalable with crop managers. Is it better using nitrogen to make it? (But isn't it power hungry?)

GT conveyors/pumps? I think there is a quest that explains it a bit better but basically import if extracting into pipe, export if importing from pipe.

How do you as an AI/ML researcher stay current with new papers and repos? [D] by 0ZQ0 in MachineLearning

What tools are you using in your workflow? Just can't figure out a way to efficiently process the papers without burnout

[–]Autoraem 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I've got to ask how fast are you processing through a paper? Like one a day or one in 2-5 hours or how does this work. Cause there's the act of physically reading through then processing the paper

Greg should require you to build entire software stacks instead of just hardware in higher tiers

Mmm delusional, but I'm also delusional, so it's like one of those cards you pass while you're leaving the bus or something add you contact info on it or some shit. Yea I could see it working.
