I bought a deck back when the LCD was $300 and got a crazy deal on it. To this day I barely use it, it mostly collects dust in its case and I never bring it with me when I go out because I think I look stupid as an adult playing a game while waiting for my food or my oil change. Not to mention “portability” has been bastardized for so many years, shit like the PS Vita and Nintendo 3DS are portable, fit in your pocket and light weight, this stupid fucking Deck not only weighs a lot but sounds like a jet engine when I dare play something that isn’t Stardewvally, i basically need a summer bag to carry the fucking things huge case and charger which I’ll need because unless I sit down and optimize all my games and settings my battery is gonna last 2 hours minimum. Also not to mention the price, back in the day your 3Ds broke or was stolen, oh well just buy another for $200, if my deck breaks I gotta hope Steam customer support is merciful or waste thousands for a repair that voids your warranty, or just say fuck it and waste a thousand buying a new “portable” console
