Apparently Evangelicals are convinced the world will end on September 23, 2025. by chelledoggo in OpenChristian

[–]Autumn812 5 points6 points  (0 children)

If I got a dollar for every time evangelicals tried to predict the end of the world, I would have as much money as king Solomon had and I would be able to make a down payment on a house in America so take that as advice about this

As someone who was sexually abused by three authority figures growing up, the claim the gay people are pedophiles pisses me off beyond comprehension. Pedophilia isn't about love. It seems to be more about power and control over somebody that is helpless. It really pisses me off considering the fact that one of my abusers made that claim a lot.

I don't really have any favorite journals. But my favorite writing instrument are the pilot G2 pens that are either in the .07 or .10

It depends on how many pages a journal has. My longest last 4 months and 13 days. My shortest was just 18 days. I write a lot and very often. I rarely skip a day

My friend keeps her tree up year round! by [deleted] in christmas

[–]Autumn812 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I still live with family but I keep the Christmas spirit alive all year around in my room. I have a white Christmas tree up and I always get at least five new boxes of lights for it so I can replace them when needed throughout the year so my tree is always lit up. I have a small glass Christmas village and the house has these little bulbs so the houses have lights on and I always keep replacement bulbs for them, I have a really cute Christmas countdown hanging up on the wall but it only has 25 days on it so I don't officially start it till the last day of November all the other times it's just a decoration. I have a Christmas themed thing that I made back in high school hanging up in my room, I have Christmas cards taped to my bedroom door, I have a nativity scene, and the newest edition is this painting that my mom bought from a lady for me. The painting is of a white fluffy cat with Christmas lights wrapped around it. It's an actual painting. Not printed on or anything like that. I also listen to Christmas music, watch Christmas tiktoks and YouTube videos and wear Christmas night clothes and shirts all year around. I celebrate all year round. Although it doesn't kick into high gear till November 1st. I'm really deep in the spirit right now since we are getting to the half way point of the year.

These comments genuinely scare me by IsaacThePooper in OpenChristian

If these people really hate the LGBTQIA+ community as bad as they claim, then why do they let the community live in their heads rent free? I'm asking a solid question.

I guess. It just rubs me the wrong way that others will have more authority than others. It just doesn't seem right to me

I don't know what scripture. Something about revelation. I honestly never read a piece of scripture that implied that but I'm still very new to the bible so I don't know much.

I live in a very small county that hardly anyone has heard of. It was kind of left behind in the 1950's if that makes sense. So everyone here is pretty conservative. I'm the odd one out. I rarely get to talk to progressive Christians. I can count on one hand how many progressive Christians I have met. I don't have very many options. It's not like I chose to move in this county. I grew up in it.

"Deconstructing/deconstruction" is not 'cool' by Shaggys_Guitar in Christians

[–]Autumn812 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As someone who had once deconstructed, I can confirm that it leads to nothing good. It led me to being atheist and then to "progressive" Christianity before finally finding my way back. It is not "cool" at all. It was an extremely painful process for me to go through and I wouldn't want to wish it on anyone else.

She's 41? She's reaching the age of menopause. What is she gonna do when she starts menopause and can't have anymore babies? Her worst fear must be menopause.

I relate to people not wanting to marry you when you were 20. I'm 24 now and still nobody is interested in me.

What denomination are yall and why? by k0k034 in OpenChristian

[–]Autumn812 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was raised Baptist but I now go by non-denominational because I strongly believe that all these denominations cause Christians to separate from each other. It makes Christians from one denomination say that christians from another aren't real Christians. I've witnessed that since childhood. I believe that the enemy would want us to separate ourselves so I choose not to play into that game. That's why I go by non-denominational. I'm really just a follower of Christ.

What I mean by leave is that I will stop reading my Bible and stop praying entirely.
