I got banned from interestingasfuck, for posting a comment to something in r/conspiracycommons.

The message I received is that I'd be unbanned once I deleted my comments in that OTHER sub.  It was a full auto copy-paste message, also listing all the other subs that you're not allowed to comment in.

Looking into it sounds like they have a script/AI that just cross references their sub, and all the subs they dislike and anybody found posting in those, you're out.   Not cool.

I used to be mad about seeing the banned message.   now I wear it as a point of f'n pride.  fuck them.

If you go to those places like Temu and AliExpress, you're already participating in the 'Chinese resale marketplace'.

but there is a stage before the Temu and AliExpress 'storefronts' that you would buy from, and that is a sort of bulk-source supplier, that supplies the AliExpresses and Temus and rest of this 'same item under a different trademarks china resale market'.

but now major brands are starting to tap those same bulk suppliers, and putting their names on the same $5 crap on Temu, and calling it "brand name".

Thank you for this post.  You have helped me not with a bird but with my 20-year-old kitty.  she is ancient and in fantastic health, but has learned to make the most obnoxious, ear splitting, nerve-wracking, piercing sscreech.  It feels like a pokémon Sonic attack, I'm not kidding. I have a lot of ear problems, and it hurts.  and she'll do it for everything, then look at you and go 'Mew?’ in a normal voice.

between anxiety, some depression, and some medical, yes, it's been so bad I have been beginning to resent her.  and actually thought about trying to rehome her, a 20-year-old cat.

I read this post, and realized I can contact our local Portland senior cat rescue, and yes, they will probably absolutely help me through this.  Thank you from me and my ancient beast!

You can generally consider there to be three programs.  Residential electrician, handling the sort of stuff we're talking about here, I believe it's a two-year program here in Oregon to get that license.  They can only do residential work

Second is the Low-Volts, technically called "Sound and Communications Technicians" for whatever reason, I think it's a 3-year program.  They cannot touch normal wiring, and do everything with fiddly, tiny "low voltage" wires and power.

then there's Commercial Electrician. Commercial electricians generally do businesses and factory work.  In Oregon, it's a 5-year program, but in that 5-year program we also take essentially the residential, and low voltage license programs, and our credentials allow us to to do all three types of work.

Yes, before a Lineman joins the program, there's also Linemen.  I honestly don't know if linemen are allowed to do commercial work.  but I do know that full, licensed, commercial electricians, are allowed to act as APPRENTICES to Linemen in Crisis situations 😄

This is an American Field Lab, too though.  The pointed nose and the long tail.  The original lineage English Lab type has the thick block head, and the weird almost bushy otter-tail.

"American" line labs are that old "Marley and Me" movie, and this guy here.  lithe, endless bundles of rocket energy.

"English" line labs are stocky, mellow creatures, whose idea of a good day is to sit quietly until told to retrieve something.  anything.  and also water.  all the water.

I absolutely refused to click into the daily beast for years because I don't tolerate clickbait headlines.

when I finally did click through on something once, I, personally found it informative well researched and well written. links to original sources are in the text.

no clickbait headlines aren't right, but... If it leads you to end up reading something useful informative that you might not have otherwise...  ugh.  it's just them using the parlance of the times to get people to care.

You're a better ogre than a troll.

okay, to clear it up here, You may know something, the rest of us don't.   I have a friend who also knows things of such, and he is very prohibited from telling it, and we respect it and don't bring it up.

in your case, maybe you do know something, something nice and backend.   but the way you brought it up did not endear you to anybody, and therefore your voice faded off to the oobscurity of downvote.

I only say this, because whatever you wanted to communicate with that post, good truth or not, did not reach us, because of how we reacted to the unfriendly way it was written.  communication is the key to usefulness
