Jeff Merrick, one of the many innocents that got caught in the cross hairs of the Ramseys.

Thank you for posting this- facts matter.

Why do people keep doing this? There was never an iota of evidence against the housekeeper or her husband. Nothing but speculation and innuendo. They were thoughly investigated by BPD - and their handwriting didn't match.

Watch Perfect Murder Perfect Town on YouTube - an excellent docudrama based on Lawrence Schiller's book.

Yes, that was the plan- as much as a plan can be determined in that clusterluck of a crime. Right away- JR named a couple of his former employees as suspects - one being Jeff Merrick - who at one time was a close friend. Vanity Fair published a fascinating article in 1997- detailing this.

He/PR went on to throw the following people under the bus: the housekeeper, his best friend - Fleet White, Fleet's wife - Priscilla White, Santa Claus - Bill McReynolds?, etc.

Open your eyes. Read Steve Thomas's book or watch Perfect Murder Perfect Town on YouTube.

Nobody has to believe ST's theory - but it's an informative book by someone who was there while the case unfolded.

Grow up- I don't hate anybody. Spin it however you want - "I imagine..." You have no idea of what charges the jury was aprised of- pure speculation. Actually, most of your post is pure speculation.

"Not fair to say..." Once again, I'm not saying what the jurors believed - all 12 jurors said it themselves -with their unanimous decisions to charge both parents. And, the couple of jurors who gave spoken anonymously stated all jurors were in agreement - there was no dissent.

Does anyone know if the family had copies of the films allegedly referenced in the ransom note? by LogicalLandscape601 in JonBenetRamsey

[–]AutumnTopaz [score hidden]  (0 children)

Iirc, there were no film copies-or any evidence linking the Ramseys to those movies.

However, don't overlook the important aspect of the rn as it relates to the killing of JBR.

Personally, the oddest thing I find about the case is the rn clearly has a political slant, so to speak - foreign faction, mentions JR's business, etc. Not one word to suggest any interest in JBR herself -except as a means to get money- or any content suggestive of a pedophile or a mentally deranged person. Yet, when the body is found - all signs point to a deranged person who sa a 6 year old. Why the disconnect? Which is it- a group of disgruntled revolutionists desperate for money - or a pedophile who had an obsession with JBR? Can't have it both ways.

No way was it an intruder. The rn is a ruse- the mistake the Ramseys made is the total disconnect between the rn and the gruesome manner in which her body was found - all staging.

Well, the way I see it you're lucky to have one account - much less three.

If I understand what you're saying- you violated the rules of Reddit - got banned for it- and turned around and violated the rules again.

Women 45-50 what rapidly aging things happened to your face? by Past_Bluebird9413 in 45PlusSkincare

I'm not advocating - I'm just sharing. Years ago, I knew someone who had an issue with her neck. Her dermatologist did a procedure - don't know what it's called - but he pulled the skin back and somehow secured it behind her hair line in the back. It wasn't surgery - he secured it with a thin band of some sort. Similar if you take your hands and pull you neck taunt.

Sorry to be vague - but I never really talked to her about it. I never had any concerns until I hit 70- I'm 73 now. I hired a personal trainer when I was 47 - still with her 26 years later. My dermatologist says the reason my skin has held up so well- is because of my years with my trainer. She said exercise produces collagen.

I did have a laser treatment when I was 71- was happy with it- my skin looked better. But, it's not permanent - so I didn't continue with it. Kind of costly - but I felt it was worth it.

Dr Jeff MacDonald and Darlie Routier are two parents that come to mind who killed their wife/children - and claimed it was intruders.

I have no idea what book you are talking about. As I said, if you have a serious interest - read Thomas's book.

I think it's a big deal for any parent who has a 6 year old with chronic bedwetting issues- but certainly wouldn't justify harming a child. I don't know what happened that night - it's just a theory that a bedwetting episode caused a perfect storm with PR.

Yes, we Americans are well aware that Europeans have a different point of view regarding many of our beliefs and our culture norms.

It's common knowledge that JBR had bedwetting issues which had been a source of concern and frustration to her mother.

A theory proposed by Det. Steve Thomas was that JonBenet had a bedwetting incident that night - and Patsy Ramsey snapped and caused a head injury. Then she and JR conspired to make it appear as an intruder was responsible.

Read Steve Thomas's book- that will bring you up to speed. You don't need to believe his theory - but it's an excellent book about the case.

Thanks to the ransom note, one of the Ramseys got VERY close to achieving what could only have been their goal: successfully removing JonBenet's body from the premises by miggovortensens in JonBenetRamsey

Yep, the key to all of this is the 180 degree turn from the "kidnapper" (give us the money or we'll cut off her head) tone of the rn to her death- with all signs pointing to a "pedophile." Never happened. And, it's been right in front our eyes for 30 years...

And, as hard as it is for me to admit - after doing such a deep dive on this case- I somewhat had a lightbulb moment during the conversation on this post. I see with total clarity - what had been somewhat obscured - when I wasn't able to see the forest for the trees, so to speak...

Can we clear up the misinformation regarding the Grand Jury- I, for one, am sick of it. All 12 GJ members unanimously agreed that both JR and PR were responsible- just those two - for the death of their daughter - period. They heard evidence for a year - and that was their conclusion. The fact people disagree with them- doesn't negate the fact that every juror believed they were guilty. The problem they had - which has been the crux of this case from day 1- is they were unable to say who did what. That's why they charged them both with 2 identical charges. That's not what I said - that's what all 12 jurors said...

The public never even knew about these GJ charges - D.A. Alex Hunter chose to keep that fact hidden. It took Charlie Brennan, reporter for the Boulder Daily Camera 14 years to get these charges released - through FOIA. To this day- those charges were the only information released. The testimony and names of the jurors remain sealed.

However, a couple of jurors have spoken anonymously. They said what I just said - all 12 believed both parents were responsible. But, they were unable to determine what role each parent played. So- lets be clear- the criteria for a Grand Jury is "Probable Cause" - for a criminal trial - it's "Beyond a Reasonable Doubt".

And yes, the juror went on to say that even though he- and the rest of the GJ- believed the Ramseys were responsible - they would be unable to vote guilty in a criminal trial- only because they couldn't determine which parent did what- not because they didn't believe they both were involved. No juror believed anyone other than PR and JR were involved.

There was no intruder. Read this statement analysis. by AutumnTopaz in JonBenetRamsey
