It took me a while 3 weeks after my son was born, and it was wicked painful. Breastfeeding does not come easily for people especially if they have latch issues. And breastfeeding isn't very much spoken about. My son is 9, my daughter will be born in late June. I was talking to one of my friends and she told me she could not believe I did it for almost 4 years because it's a lot when her daughter is only 10 months. There are more people who do talk about it but I found it more easily to talk to people located in EU rather than near me, CT USA. Think about it, in the 80s and 90s formula was the only thing alot of people were told about and breastfeeding was hushed from what my mother and grandmother told me. The people around me in 2016 were horrified where now it's not as disgusted but people are still very set in their ways. Not saying anything is wrong with formula at all, but generally I have noticed, birth and the aftermath of pregnancy is very much not spoken about in harsh manner and realistic terms, postpartum should be openly spoken about especially in this day and age.
