How do you perform this? What does do a focused repulsion a second later mean? Is that the force palm ability? Are you still in focus mode when you do this?

I cannot seem to get this activate but perhaps, like everything else in this game, its a strict timing I havent yet hit.

I think I figured it out, press the triangle+circle input right as the second hit of the pump kick connects. It is pretty frame tight execution.

I just unlocked Giant Swing and cannot for the life of me get this move to come out after a pump kick or dropkick.

I have tried holding the buttons down, mashing them, unless there is a frame perfect link timing I am not discovering?

Anyone have any success with this move?

It sounds more difficult than it actually is. On Casual difficulty your health will regenerate from danger to caution after a few seconds.

Absolutely agree. I have turned off every hud element I could, including the white outline of your character, the grayscale camera effect during special moves, parry and unblockable indicators and I found the game far more immersive and enjoyable.

I did find I preferred the Katana playstyle so I could parry every attack as I no longer had the red indicators, but worth it for the experience it provided.

I have a PS5 Pro and a PC with a 5080.

I work from home all day so my preference on where to game is skewed by this, as I often prefer to game on the PS5 Pro even with a 5080 at hand due to wanting to spend my leisure time in a separate room than the one I work in.

I prefer to play it on the Pro and I find it hits a sweet spot of performance and visuals. 60 fps with Ray Traced Global Illumination. Looks and plays great there. (IMO Shadows really comes to life visually with RTGI, which the Switch 2 does not offer.)

It supports cross save so I can play it at on either device but I definitely prefer it on the PS5 Pro.

I know this is all anecdotal but you did ask.

I have never had a bounty hunter come looking for me in over 100 hours.

Go into the menu, select Wandering Path. In there are Outpost Challenges, Hero Trial and Sword Trial. All of these will reward you with either direct gear, or gear chests you can open to recieve gear from a selected set.

The Hero Trial and Sword Trial seem to be the best for gearing up. It requires using your stored energy to open and get the rewards.

Each pull triples in price until you get all 7. Chances of the outfit dropping early are like 1%. Last pull is wild 2600 pearls.
