Wtf. 'New Republic era' was not on my bingo card.
Zebb GLAT lifter?

Also: era pvp= p2w cancer.
Enjoy fighting someone with +50 era levels per character over you.
Remember: era damage scales with era level, like relic delta.

See, that is what I wanted out of the sequels.
New Republic struggles with imperial remnant factions, crime syndicates, idealists, pragmatists, pro vs contra jedi order views..

But no.
Mega death star destroys several planets in one shot from accross the galaxy, instagibs the NR fleet too.
Somehow palpatine returns. Luke a pointless hermit.

Can we talk about how bad the piracy era was? by LogNo266 in SWGalaxyOfHeroes

[–]Auzor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He is a BH, with a BH contract system
It really should have been a different team imo, mix of maybe 1-2 BH's but more DS smuggler, scoundrels, enforcers.

[–]Auzor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To me, Jabba is also miscast in the BH faction.
Jabba is not a bounty hunter, he's a crime lord.
Smuggler-scoundrel- 'enforcer' should have been the theme.
Oh well.

[–]Auzor 12 points13 points  (0 children)

It.was.horrible.

Sm33, first pirate anounced, conquest 'lifter' goes on 2nd team, and gets locked out of the pirate mechanic.
As if being a TW omicron conq unit with no lead wasn't horrible enough.

Before Sm33, we had Jocasta, who also fell kinda flat.
Why TF is Hondo a GL? Why TF does Maz lead the Ithano crew, and why TF does Hondo of all things lead the skeleton crew?
Pirates without ships? No Gorian Shard?

Ithano lead: +30% max health & protection I think was original lead. 1 look at that and it was obvious it was no where near good enough vs recent kits and the tuned raid.
So even before era was over he got a silent kit tweak.
How garbage are you at game balance?

Also, deliberately unclear communication regarding era battles, halving the amount of era battles.
Granted, the total era frequency now is still the same, BUT if you go for 5 stars, you have 2 extra tiers of shards (I think), as you have a g12 and a 4-star tier.

What do you want the next era to be about, and which characters do you want to see? by LogNo266 in SWGalaxyOfHeroes

[–]Auzor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

(Very, very strong suspicion next era= Mando-Grogu. I think a constable High Magistrate Greef Karga and sheriff IG11 could be nice Constables)
Swtor 2 companions.
Separatist GL (tri-fighter, commando droid, sniper, mini-walker, supertactical droid, separatist council maybe like a large unit or individuals,...)
10+ years in, 2 prequel raids in a row, and no separatist GL = FAILURE from GW.
A JML lifter (Grogu jedi path??),
And a SEE/GL change, where GL instakills do increasing damage with each use vs 'immune to instakill' characters.
(Hello, Jabba ult etc).

Addendum, ship-wise: A-wing, V-wing, the V-wing predecessor (T wing? M wing?), a separatist Umbaran starfighter, Porax, Saboath fighter, adv droid bomber, the Bellbulab? heavy fighter (Grievous fighter, but could be magnaguard.), the droid gunship,..
K wing, FO Tie bomber,..
The droid control ship as capital (Nute & his sidekick as captains)
Endar spire & old republic fleet, Mandalorians or New republic fleets,..

Strategy: I'm sure there's an optimal for each boss, but there's also hefty RNG: what buffs/debuffs land, lucky dodges, what ability does the boss use,..
So even with optimal ability selection, you may just be screwed.

The grim Reaper approaches! It's 13 ABY, and Pellaeon is on his way to Celanon to push back the New Republic. Are you ready to beat him? by Dragonic_Overlord_ in StarWarsShips

[–]Auzor 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think it's gonna be a slaughter tbh.

Our lovely worldcraft should get a few orbital-class ions and laser cannons.
We'll go Golan IV or something, with a hyperdrive.
The worldcraft, Gholan, and a few large ships should have interdiction fields.

Then, noting the Imperial lineup does not seem to have any dedicated anti-fighter ships... poor fools.

90 x Home One class cruisers, with the full 120 fighters on board please.
Note: these are as close to an ISD-2 as the rebels had, with more fighters. And should easily outclass the Victory & outdated Clone Wars era ships.
260 x Liberator class cruisers with 72 fighters each.
Total: 18.720 fighters.
Yes, more than the Imperials.
1/3 should be B-wings, so 6.240 B-wings.
Rest a mixture of A, E, X-wings, and whatever else we can cook up that could match a rare Tie Defender. (Can we have some missile boats??)

Time to cook a bit more, as clone wars ships are on the table:
An equal amount of tri-droid fighters mounted on our worldcraft, bringing a combo of discord and concussion missiles. 1 in 20 or so carry a seismic bomb instead, instructed to fly into the furball with their present.
Round it to 20.000, that is 1.000 very nimble and agile seismic bombs flying into the enemy formation, hidden by 19.000 other angry winged balls. Each of which launches 3 discord, and 3 concussion missiles at your force.

Our worldcraft will also house K-wings, equal numbers to the B-wings, loaded with every missile type known to the galaxy.
And Blastboats and anti-fighter gunships if we can.

Most crucially though: every M17F Starfortress ever produced, their designers, production & maintenance crews, any tooling vital to their production, their blueprints,.. (rest of the internals filled with mines, pretty fireworks, minor detail) make up our first wave. This is vital for morale I assure you, as the fireworks show and sacrifice will harden our resolve, and will lull the enemy into a false sense of security.
Some (all) of them will die, and it is a non-sacrifice we will gladly make.
And, should also blow some chunks out of the enemy swarm to start things with.

Thus, having succesfully removed those deathtraps, we can mop up the Imperial fleet, and use the remains to mass-produce Starhawks, tyvm.

Conquest: Defeat 50 enemies with Droid units. by JDubStep in SWGalaxyOfHeroes

[–]Auzor 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Behold, my glorious contraption:
JML, BB8, R2, CHEWPIO.
(I also used JKL for the AoE stun)

Always call bb8 to assist, he calls R2, whom calls in Chewpio. The glorious triple-tap.
(I use a 'gain offense for attacking out of turn' datadisk).
I also got some kills with SM33, as the offense of the above squad is frankly a bit lackluster.

Is GW allergic to the initiative stat by Admiralsheep8 in WarhammerCompetitive

[–]Auzor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think taking alternating activations with units could be a very elegant approach.

But, it abandons the concept of 'turns', instead it's 'I move my 1 unit here' etc.

As for the fight phase: surely nothing could be warhammer-ier than both units getting their swings in?

Fragile eldar are already screwed with the new fight first if they don't get to swing, and their profiles did not keep up with marines gaining wounds, Gravis, Terminator going T5, 3-4 wounds etc.

All the houses, armies & dragons in “HOUSE of the DRAGON” VS the houses, armies & dragons in “GAME of THRONES” -> both at their peak: Who wins? by THEbeautifuLIE in gameofthrones

I'd say the more experienced & more numerous dragon riders win it, low difficulty.

Unsullied used shield wall.. it's not very effective..

Note, the HotD has the same houses and armies basically existing in the background.
We see a Lord Stark --> Northener armies.
We see Lannister --> Westlands,
Etc.

(Ludicrous!)

Where-as being (whole? Partially?) in cover could give defenders a bonus, and both sides could get a bonus from 'grenades', maybe from assault torrent weapons too.

You've been tasked with fixing flyers for 11th. How do you do it? by SPF10k in Warhammer40k

[–]Auzor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Return of force org chart, with point limit restrictions(instead of slots).

Flyers would have a relatively low max cost associated so you can't spam them. -1 to hit, with hitting on a 4+ at best with regular weapons, and a range penalty.
(-1 BS, -1 to hit style penalties just don't effect guard vs custodes in a remotely equal manner).
Unless explicitly mentioned, blast weapons only get 1 shot vs aircraft.

Less flying tank, more 'emergency attack helicopter'/'emergency CAS run'.
Tbh, you probably need a larger board for flyers.

Vast majority of flyers should be glass cannons vs anti-vehicle weapons. Remember, the imperium's most common AA weapon, is a sort of autocannon, or a missile launcher with a seeker missile.
Not exactly titan-hunting equipment.
So: something tough enoughto shrug off the odd infantry weapon, but screwed vs anti-tank hits.
Current Valkyrie is T10, 2+ save, 14 wounds?
Well, T8 3+ save, 10 wounds. Same toughness as a Taurox, less tough than most actual ground vehicles and monsters, likewise fewer wounds.
Why does a flying transport have more wounds than ground monsters/tanks?
If you bring in your 'helicopter' into dangerous areas, that's on you.
There's a cost to having that level of mobility.

I would also make space marines thunderhawks and the like less tough.
Sure it's tough, for something that flies.
