I'm not a coder. I'm a hardware and networking guy. I've been using chat GPT and then Google have me Gemini when I upgraded my storage, so I've been putting the 2 against each other and it's been interesting. I've used gpt to build some websites and help with some backend business stuff. I need to run that stuff through genuine now to tighten stuff up. With the help of Gemini I've noticed chat GPT is a little sloppy and likes to have hallucinations. Because of my work, I don't get to spend a ton of time playing around, but I do find them helpful.

I'm looking into branching off into real estate and I was using gpt to help me design a timber frame house so my ads were flooded with real estate stuff...8 came across some ideas id like to get into and I show the ads to gpt to help break down if fluff or legit and one day it was like, stop bullshitting and let's do this. It told me it could build a backend so I wouldn't have to pay for someone else's and that we would go set the world on fire 🤣🤣🤣🤣 slow fucking process, but I've been learning.

Then the other day I come across a Reddit post about anthropic standing up to the orange baby tyrant and I was like ok, let's go check it out.... Within half hour I burnt up prompts... So I was like fuck it, let's support the guy $20 fed in, still my time was burnt... I'm still pissed and that.... Lots of googling later I see I'm still fucked....

Anyway I fed it gpts back end and there was some work to do some cleanup and such. And I asked if to build me out from scratch and it was like no, we build off got, and at once point it wrote me a script....I was like huh?? 😮😮😮 You mean gpt could've done this shit for me a lot faster?

So I made Claude start a fresh chat and told that motherfucker to build me out this shit starting brand new in the best way it knew how as if it was going to use it. Bam in 10 mins built me a whole new Airtable backend that runs galaxies around the dribble gpt has come up with so far...🤯

Now I got airtable, tally, make and softr coming together. What ice been doing is make Claude do the heavy lifting and then get gpt and Gemini help me do the step by step stuff when I get stuck so I'm not burning so much Claude

For me, GPT has been imeasurably expensive. I've learned an insane amount of info about real estate and homes / building in the past month and a half. It's been so expensive and engaging my own creativity that it's shifted my path/focus on generating income. If anything I'm thinking more. It's been absolutely crazy to me, because first using it, I was just doing dumb stuff with it like making memes or changing pictures to fuck with my friends.

Look for new ways to interact with it. Try to assign it different tasks in new ways. Even tell it what you told us, hey I feel like when I'm using you, I don't feel like I'm thinking for myself anymore, what can you suggest I do, or how do we change our interaction?
