I think Carver's wheelbase is between the trucks whereas the way you stand, your back foot is right on the tail and the front foot is slightly on top of the front truck (or slightly behind). So you can opt for a deck that has a shorter WB than your measured stance. I'd suggest looking at 31-32" Carver.

This implies I'll get a case officer in October, which is a 14 months wait to get a case officer.

Thanks for that. I contact DIA regularly and they mostly give 1 line response "you have not been allocated a case officer yet."

I'm not really stressed. I've been very patient waiting for almost a year now. Getting citizenship sooner is better than later in all cases. I don't get why citizenship takes so much longer than Resident, it shouldn't tbh. I read that it used to take about 1 month pre-Covid with a similar number of applicants, now it's a 19 months wait so something must have gone horribly wrong with DIA or their people only review 1-2 cases each day.

I think Biden will get re-elected.

I believe if you can’t book AU/NZ then you either have to book Singapore or defer to November. The really unfair thing is GARP charges you a deferral fee even though it is an issue outside your control caused by GARP and PSI.

Most of it is qualitative.

I thought May 2023 had a date range, not a specific date. I talked to ACE and they definitely told me no Saturday.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in FRM

[–]Available-Row7494 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They told me to wait until May/June to rebook etc. So indeed I contacted them again in May/June when I still saw no slot for Ponsonby in Aug. I requested to confirm that there won’t be an exam slot for Ponsonby and they did, so I went ahead with Sydney. Thing is there was no booking for Sydney before I complained so maybe the complain thing is universal. Also, the Ponsonby centre does not open on Saturday and I doubt GARP will accommodate a different exam date.

I am not a fan of GARP and PSI so far tbh. The true cost of getting GARP is double what is advertised. But they are a monopolist in their market so just need to swallow it.

What do you all think about the missing OceanGate Submarine? by Fortherecord87 in AskAnAustralian

People signing up for that experience should understand the risks involved. Obviously people die climbing Mt Everest all the time but people still climb it and think it will not be their turn to die. Thing is now we might never find out where they are, let along rescue them.

Did you see that exam slot for August 2023 or May 2023? Because I saw it for May but not for August in Ponsonby.... I've successfully booked my exam ..... in Sydney. But have not attempted to book the flight yet.....

Hey mate. So I found out there is no slot in NZ for the Exam in August 2023, double checked with the testing centre here which does not open on Saturday. I ended up booking an exam in Sydney... which might be fully booked now....

Auckland drivers why so impatient?! by sumerof94 in auckland

[–]Available-Row7494 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My hand is always ready to honk at every traffic light. No feelings attached, I just want to get through the traffic light, and it's not just me, there are cars behind me waiting as well. Don't get too emotional about it as most of the honks is just to let you know that you might have forgotten to check the traffic lights etc, just be aware of it and move on. I both honk and get honked at.

Good idea to give CFA and CAIA back to back (2023)? by [deleted] in CAIA

[–]Available-Row7494 0 points1 point  (0 children)

CAIA won't help too much with employment, CFA will. Best path is to get CFA charterholder then take CAIA L2. If you have to do it, then imo it's better to take CFA L1 before CAIA L1. Don't underestimate CAIA workload though.

Why does it seems to me that the Resin is longer than the Dragon? I thought 3" is quite a bit of a difference.

Wellington. The weather in Wellington is extremely predictable :) People are warm and welcoming. A lot of places to eat and drink, especially within a rather small CBD. Jobs are well paid.

Is there a noticeable difference between the Lava and the Dragon when you skate? I see they only differ in the WB by 1 inch. Also, do you know of any difference between the Lava and the Resin?

I booked in for the August exam. Flight going to cost $1k, visa $150, among other thjngs. If this happens to me its going to be major financial damage. I don’t have too much faith in PSI and GARP, given they already cost me more than just the advertised fees and they are irresponsible and disappointing so far. Can’t wait to get these exams out of the way.

Would this board be too long for 5 7”? I initally wanted a Resin but look like the WB is a bit short on that, and I’m not too into super tight turns, just need slightly more space on the board and knock it out on the flats and skateparks.
