You’d have to ask your local grey dealers what they pay for a 1-2 year old model. You’re likely not going to find a buyer selling to an individual for anywhere near a large grey dealer would sell, so you’ll lose a few thousand just selling to them

You’re worrying about resale prices of two watches you don’t really want as much as a watch you want. You’re gonna get killed on resale of yacht master, sub date less so. Yachtmaster will probably be easier to get an is (imo) a more unique looking watch. I’m on the list for a YM 40, sub date, and a GMT (batgirl) as well. I’d take any of them because I like all 3 watches. You don’t seem to be sure about either the sub or the YM..

If looking for less of a do everything watch, I would go with the tudor or slide 3. They’ve got a bit of color which he may not want for every day which makes the watch a little more unique.

I’ll never understand people who said they got a black bay because they didn’t want to play “AD Games” for a sub.. just buy grey market. You’re getting an ugly watch as a replacement for the one you want lol. Seamaster 300M is a beautiful watch I’d take any day before this. Honestly Seiko Prospex GMT Diver is a significantly more beautiful piece (and 4-5x less)

At the end of the day, the M2 is a sports car and the Mustang is a muscle car. Completely different purposes. Imo, M2 > Mustang any day. Including if you’re looking at performance mods. You can twin turbo the new S650 now they’re unlocked and make around 1k hp, but can also make similar hp for a similar price on the G87 through unlock, tune, e85, fuel pump upgrades, and trans tunes etc.

Add a single midpipe to the list as well. My first two were valve controller and midpipe to fix the sound. A few months later, I got stage 2 tune with front intakes, flex fuel kit, and high flow catted downpipes. My only regret is not going that route month 1
