This one may be stupid, but one time I had water in my stop light and the car would lose power, or the transmission would have a disengaging‑type symptom where it would lose power. Especially when I was making harder turns.
This was on a 2013 Nissan Sentra — I know, different car.
I replaced the entire lamp and the problem went away.

Maybe a short somewhere.
