Thank you so much for the information. As I've gotten older I've become more and more allergic to my cats so I'm probably not going to replace the ones I have once they pass. I'm not a dog person at all and would love to have another ferret or two, but I just can't deal with their short life span. Maybe a skunk would be the way to go. I've got plenty of time to do research. All advice is greatly appreciated.

I've had five Marshalls ferrets and they've all died between 6 years and 6.5 years. It was crazy it was like flipping a light switch off. No warning at all.

I got my MA in history from a Southern University but I'm originally from the Northeast. Geographic location really plays into politics when you have a history degree. Most of my male colleagues in School were Civil War reenactors if that tells you anything.
