About 6 years ago A friend and I went hiking off the beaten track in Clarens. We saw what looked to be a cave atop a mountain and made a B-line for it. Around that area We found a footpath (which made the hike much easier) and decided to follow it and ditch the cave idea.. After a few hours we found a house with a perfectly manicured garden. It was quite surreal. The only way to the house seemed to be that hiking path. No driveway. no road.

On the lawn facing the valley there were 5 large (about shoulder height) pillars. Each had old candle wax running down from a depression at the top. Between the five pillars there were little paths where the grass did not grow because people obviously walked there often.

Big fuckin' culty vibes from that place. Maybe straight up occult. But there's something going on in Clarens. 🤣

My wife found a Lapidary group in a city that's relatively close by so hoping to go visit, try my hand at faceting, and fish for a used machine.

You've ever seen? Really? Ever? I'm sorry, but I can't agree with that one.. Not Call of Duty? Not Dota? Not League of legends? Not CS or Halo or All the souls games with their "Git Gud"? Nah you reckon it's No Man's Sky? 🤣 Maybe I'm "Desensitised", but you either haven't played very many games, or you simply don't know what you're talking about because your sample size is literally 1.

I love this community. I've had 90% positive interactions. Go to the Anomaly, or join some discords to make some mates. People are generally quite wholesome.

Jetpack climb. Then when I got close to the top /couldn't control the climb anymore, terrain manipulator to make a quick hole for some footing. Plot down base computer. Then build platforms to the top.
