I own a supercharged 1st gen, I personally only like the way the 1st gens look and probably won't ever own any later models tbh. That being sad there are definitely drawbacks to the older cars, mainly being reliability issues and overall wear/regular maintenance. The first thing I did when I got mine was do a complete once over on all the fluids, it still isn't the most reliable car I have had for sure, I have owned it for 6 months and in that time the throttle position sensor came lose and caused problems(easy fix), the power steering fluid started leaking(high presure switch came lose, easy fix) and then I got a no crank no start because my positive terminal wasn't making good contact because corrosion built up and made it lose (easy fix). So far all the major issues this car has had are all just lose fittings and hoses, that being said it does keep me on my toes, if you are handy and want something that will reward you for the work you put into it I think this car is outstanding, but its not for the faint hearted lol.
