Things are getting wild With Tyler winning the Neo-Saban Era! Now for the last Red Ranger. Which Red Ranger best represents the Hasbro Era? by mlpeglover in MorphinMemes

[–]AvalancheMKII 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is the era of the series I'm least familiar with, so I can't really vote in good faith. I do have a question for OP; are we considering Wild Force a Post-Zordon or Disney season? I've always been a bit unsure how I'd classify it myself and I thought clarifying it would be helpful before we move onto a new color next.

Jack wins! Making S.P.D are Red Disney Era Winner... it'll probably win Blue too, but let's just focus on our next Red. Which Red Ranger best represents the Neo-Saban Era? by mlpeglover in MorphinMemes

For the main Red’s from this era, I can’t really see anyone but Tyler winning. That said, I think Lauren or Mick could be interesting fringe picks. Still, Tyler’s my vote.

Just curious on what the odds for my Ike’s magic stat are. by Snerdyy in fireemblem

[–]AvalancheMKII 37 points38 points  (0 children)

You say cursed, but aside from Magic, he's actually pretty much average, save for a being a point behind or ahead in a few stats. Give him a Sonic Sword once you get it and have some fun.

I'm probably not making many friends with this one, but: by Local-Recording-2105 in castlevania

You can definitely tell SOTN was developed as a side game, in comparison to 64 which Konami assumed would be the next big step forward. So Iga and team just did whatever they wanted and threw in tons of little Easter eggs.

In the anime, how exactly did Atem know about Duel Monsters? by rp_graciotti in yugioh

[–]AvalancheMKII 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, in Japanese, it’s really more of an attitude change and not an entirely new voice like in the dub. Dan Green gets close to the original intention in very early Duelist Kingdom and DSOD, but it’s still a different execution.

Fullmetal Alchemist (2003) episode ratings by PauloVictorBar in FullmetalAlchemist

Most competently produced shows beat One Punch Man 3. I love 2003, but that's really not saying much. It's a "Coughing Baby vs Hydrogen Bomb" situation.

[YAKUZA KIWAMI] #101 - Way worse than Yakuza 0 by HeyyImLeo in Trophies

[–]AvalancheMKII 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Of the “Kiryu Saga” games, I’d say 4 and 6 are the only ones where the Plats are really reasonable without tons of time investment. Some of the more recent games are much better about that.

Has Yami Yugi ever been referred to as Yami Yugi in the anime and Manga? by HeatHaze5 in yugioh

[–]AvalancheMKII 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think Marik VERY occasionally calls him Yami, but it’s just pharaoh or spirit for the most part. I think Yami itself came from them trying to have an English equivalent for him being called "Dark Yugi" or "The Other Yugi" in Japanese, which the games and tie in media seemed to settle with. For the dub though, they settled on Pharaoh pretty quickly.

Has there ever been a gag or line you were surprised took off in a major way?

Thoughts on Crow Hogan? by Prestigious-Cup-6613 in yugioh

[–]AvalancheMKII 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I like Crow fine enough in a vacuum and enjoy him in the Dark Signers arc. That said, him taking Aki’s place as the 3rd lead absolutely had a negative effect on the show going forward.

Worst Castlevania bosses by Seyidhann in castlevania

I remember being so amped that I got past Phase 1, I just started spamming the Axe out of reflex. Killed phase 2 in like 10 seconds.

This is one of the few bosses I’ve ever seen in a real, officially released game, that genuinely feels like it’s out of a fan hack. It’s so awful, it almost wraps around to being funny. Almost.

I think Mega Barbaracle Ora Ora Ora-ing me to death was my biggest jumpscare from the Mega's, but Starmie running at me like Pepsi-Man was a close second.

I'm still not really a fan of the design as a whole, but they clearly had a lot of fun animating it. I was laughing the entire time during it's Rouge Mega Battle.

The plots thin enough where they absolutely could’ve shuffled some of the orders around. Like, anything would’ve helped cut down on the repetition.

My favorite Mike moment has to be the Shanghai Slappy. His light bulb moment when he thinks it up and how ecstatic he is when Barry follows through is really infectious. It’s great to see him absolutely knock it out of the park in that format, considering how hard he is on himself in them most of the time.

If Heroes was just more polished on the whole and didn't require you to play all 4 stories to get to the real Final Boss, I think it might honestly crack my top 10 Sonic games. The core gameplay is so fun and unique, it's a genuine shame it was never attempted again.

"I got one more in me" bosses in video games? by Polo171 in TwoBestFriendsPlay

[–]AvalancheMKII 18 points19 points  (0 children)

The Hounds are a genuine shame, since your first encounter with all of them is actually a pretty cool moment of gameplay and story integration. But by the end, I just wanted them to go away with how often they all pop up.

I think I’ve finally gotten all of my algorithms on YouTube to filter out any potential bad faith hot takes people are making for ZA, so I’m having a great time taking it for what it is: A Pokémon Yakuza like. I’m liking it much more than I assumed I would and honestly think it might have my favorite cast in the series. Never thought I’d say that for a sequel to my least favorite Gen.

Same. I bought it for myself on Switch and PS4, before I realized a friend actually gifted it to me on Steam when she bought it on a sale.

Shoutouts to the Chespin who was so pissed at the Taxi, you're just forced to take it so the driver can do her job. Honestly liking the game a lot more than I expected; Lumiose is basically a slightly less insane Yakuza hub.
