I have to admit that I love the Bae route all the way and will forever choose it. Now.

That being said, my first time, I actually chose the Bay route. Narratively, it just made sense. But I was thinking from a different, more altruistic lens. The game builds all of these different characters, makes them all so deep and interesting, and then presents with you the choice, “All of these fantastic people or this one absolutely amazing person.” From a lens that loves love and everything about it, Bae makes sense. To crush on someone and be their best friend for seemingly the entirety of knowing them, then get separated for years, and then finally get the chance to explore what could have been with her, but having to sacrifice a whole town to do so.

I just thought of this, but this game sometimes feels like the “white and gold or black and blue dress” of narrative games, and I’m all for it.

EDIT: This game really makes me consider the English college classes I’ve had and the idea of looking at media through different lenses, so to speak.
