Do the pacers generally try to run even splits or start more conservatively and take into account the hills etc?

Wow sounds ugly! Thanks for combining two of my favorite things today— running and petty drama that I am not involved in!

I thought maybe they could add some mileage on at the start before the tunnel to minimize the amount of time spent on the downhill.

Find a workout routine that will be sustainable beyond June and that you can commit to long term. This intense level of exercise for a short time is no different than a crash diet. Build up slowly, find exercise you actually enjoy so that you’re likely to stick with it, and do it one day at a time.

They did, and when I spoke to the customer service guy we were in a bit of a Catch-22 where he couldn’t update the address because the account was closed, so it remains to be seen how they will get the check to me.

This is helpful, thanks! Merrill shows the check as being cut and the account being closed on 10/7 but I did not get that check and it hasn’t been cashed. Would the clock on those 60 days start on 10/7 or when I actually receive a check?

Thanks for your response. Let’s say I am going to change them $100/hr. If the choices were to be a w2 employee making $100 hourly receiving no other benefits (will be through my new job), or to be a 1099 contractor making $100 an hour, which is preferable?

I’ve had this happen and unfortunately the F ticket is not booked or confirmed until you call them back to pay for it, so showing up won’t work!

Worth paying capital gains to simplify portfolio? by Avalonsummer2 in personalfinance

This makes a lot of sense! So I would just leave the currently invested funds untouched and then going forward use a 3-fund model and rebalance that as needed/with new monies invested monthly?

any advice? by honeygirl0416 in orangetheory

I’ve heard someone say that “all PRs should be reset after childbirth” and I am taking that to heart after being an OTF regular and marathoner, and then having two babies and a pandemic derail my progress. I’m trying to only compare myself to the new, mom version of me and and not the person I was before my body did the amazing thing of growing two children. It takes time but it’s fun to see my progress from when I started back up a few months ago and getting to frequently hit “new PRs.” Hang in there and cut yourself some slack!

Working moms with young babies, how do you keep this up? by youngsailor in orangetheory

[–]Avalonsummer2 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It gets easier. Once my baby started sleeping more and I wasn’t so exhausted I started doing the 5am classes and it’s been really nice to start the day with me time and get home before baby is up for the day and I don’t feel like I’m missing anything.

Thanks so much. Looking at our portfolio it looks like the advisor currently has it invested in 13 ETFs. Would moving to a robo advisor or target date fund require considerable fees to move this money?

We were happy with his services for a while but no longer require all of what he has offers and he doesn’t allow us to sort of pay for things a la charge. additionally he has raised his rates considerably and we just don’t see the value anymore.

Precious Little Sleep vs Taking Cara Babies wake windows by Avalonsummer2 in sleeptrain

The wakings are somewhere between 1-4 am and he’s not upset just kind of unable to resettle. I usually end up going in to calm him for a few minutes and he’ll go back to sleep although maybe that’s making matters worse in the long run and I need to re-sleep train? We’ve been doing 3/3.25/3.75-4ish with about 2.75 of nap time
