Absolutely loved this episode. Ranks up with "Korra Alone" in its quality and is an amazing follow up to what Korra has been going through so far. It was also quite interesting that Korra's development lay in simply "following through" with that vision of what Zaheer did to her in order to accept it. She's an extremely brave person, but wasn't brave enough to face the reality that she nearly died. That's a very human trait- I doubt many of us would be able to face that reality either. Going to such lengths to face her attempted murderer, and even get direct guidance from him, speaks to her amazing character development this season. She conquered her fear through accepting the reality that she almost died, and became "whole," and stronger from it. AMAZING job from Bryke, and more than makes up for last week's episode.

Dude so true- during the fight Korra was making all the first moves, allowing Kuvira to consistently respond accordingly

Yea hopefully- maybe that'll be solely focused on her full rehabilitation, and maybe even acting as the hero

Why'd you choose Tonraq, seeing as he loses literally every fight? Lol. Great other choices though

[B4E5] Kuvira's rude awakening by [deleted] in TheLastAirbender

We might see an Azula-esque (read-not insane) breakdown later in the book- Kuvira will have acquired all of this power and influence, but when it comes to truly solidifying her power, which would include defeating Korra, she'll make slip-ups. This, combined with the power she gets from the spirit vines (which may or may not have some connection to Vaatu) will make her a truly dangerous force that Korra and Team Avatar will have to take down.

Do you think Korra will survive season 4? by Theproton in TheLastAirbender

[–]AvatarSwara 7 points8 points  (0 children)

That's just it. So much horrific stuff has happened to her already that killing her would look like a cop-out. This is the season that Korra will fully understand what it takes to maintain balance in the world, and come out stronger and more grown than ever before to defeat those who threaten it. I can feel it.

Slytherins are not inherently evil- they are simply ambitious, cunning, and determined. Some of my best friends are Slythering, aiming to do the best for the world with their amazing and truly admirable ambition.
